It didn't need saving but this certainly helps to send out the message that its going in the right direction for all the jelly limbed fence-sitters out there.
In my opinion, yes it was. America is a hard sell because it's Microsoft's turf. Sony's biggest markets (Japan and Europe) are why they outsell the 360 every week, so it made sense to advertise to their biggest audience, Europe
Still think it needs L3 and R3 buttons, The WiiU added them last second. I don't think gamers realize how badly something like that could affect their sales.
It makes most sense to me that L3/R3 are the front touch screen and L2/R2 are the rear touch screen. L3/R3 are a MINOR inconvenience because you have to take your thumb off the analog stick to touch the screen.
they have the back touchpad which can have four simultaneously inputs. perfect for L2, R2, L3, and R3. And don't forget the multi gesture touch screen.
Exactly. I think I can speak for a lot of us when I say that we've developed thicker skin this generation with the constant crap regarding how PS3 its doomed and other "issues".
With hindsight, people are going to feel embarrassed, yet again, that stuff like this even happened. It's happening with WiiU already and that's not gonna be out for months.
Did they save Vita? IDK did it suddenly start selling all of a sudden?
Sony is good at pleasing their fanboys but it will take more than empty promises and more of the same old franchises to convince people to fork down 400-500 for their kids to have a Vita.
Sony's most die hard are already out buying it. Some are buying 2-3 units in order to boost its poor sales, so they need to find reasons for people that arent blind followers to go out and buy one and the only thing I have seen is a bunch of copies of what Nintendos doing. I'll just buy a Nintendo product if thats what I wanted. Come up with something original and innovative not something I could already play on PS3 or on Nintendo platforms for years now.
All i noticed was one new game. Everything else they showed had been announced. Im sorry this still will not be enough for the vita to survive after the press conferencs and convention is gone and they have real competition as gamescom might as well just have been a sony conference as compared to e3 it was very weak.
I'm curious as to what Nintendo's expected sales for the 3DS were in its first six months, and how it fared in reality. Then I'd like to see the difference in expected versus actual sales rates are for the Vita. A percentage of deviation would be nice, along with global economic conditions for each of the six months for both systems.
Then I'd like to know the library sizes and qualities of each system at this point in time, the number of reviews a game on each system averages, and the average review score for a game. I'd like to see how many features or improvements were implemented over the course of that six months, and what the total numbers were at launch and at the end of the time frame.
Finally, I'd like to see the total number of articles pertaining to each system, with the number split among positive, negative, and neutral, and what percentage of the total each type of article represents.
For the hell of it, let's add in these same things for all hardware released this generation.
I imagine the picture this would be would be surprising to some.
well as a psvita owner im very optimistic about the handheld's future knowing that sony has 2 of its ELITE studios working on the next wave of AAA psvita titles, im stunned to know Mm has only 15 people working on Tearaway and the rest of the crew on an unannounced project (most likely ps4 title), now that we know some of sonys biggest studios are working on the little system i would like to see others one follow them like Sucker Punch, Sony Santa Monica, Naughty Dog.
Use E3 to focus on PS3 games, then once the dust is settled over new games announced by other companies use Gamescom to announced PSV support.
I mean they wouldn't want to announce something like Tearaway then have everyone talk about Watchdogs, The Last of Us or even Black Ops 2
I know it's not ideal because you would have to take your fingers off the buttons but it could work.
What would you need those specific buttons for anyway, that couldn't be done with some other input?
The new firmware update will be a great thing too.
Remember good old days of anti-ps3 articles? PS3 was only a month old when all these "save"-related articles bombarded N4G front page...
