Pretty dumb headline. Should say launches on current Gen.

CorndogBurglar3536d ago

Technically it should say Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition launches on consoles today.

The expansion was never available on 360 and PS3.

That good. The more games the better!

Volkama3536d ago

Lol @ £59.99 price tag in the digital store.

ArchangelMike3536d ago

That just blows my mind everytime. I would have got this digitally (as well as Destiny), if it wasn't for the stupid pricing. Why are digital games extortionately more expensive that retail copies. People are like "...we're eventually going to have an all digital future.." Well with these prices I sure hope not!

Its awesome and I personally think it plays better with a controller

ArchangelMike3536d ago

Yup same here. The 'point and click' model died a long time ago IMO.

KentBlake3536d ago

Here too. I played all Diablo games on PC before (including III), and on PS4 it seems like a whole new game (in the best way possible).

The game is amazing, and it renewed my interest in this series.

Volkama3536d ago

I wish the point and click scheme would die, but it seems it is only increasing in prominence. Terrible model. Moving and attacking need to be distint inputs for the game to feel good imo.

This is also one of the primary reasons I do not try my hand at MOBAs (the awful communities being the other reason).

Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.

thorstein84d ago

I remember when the Nintendo Seal of Approval meant something.

All those games had to release without bugs.

shinoff218384d ago

Comebacks shouldnt be a thing in videogames. Just saying.

Diablo III - Still a Huge Draw in the Face of Diablo IV

Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.

Palitera393d ago

Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?

kevco33393d ago

Heh, yeah. There's no comparison in here! Its a commentary on how III is still very playable over a decade later.

Diablo III Season 28 Brings a New Use for the Staff of Herding

Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
