Dragon Age: Inquisition interview - How has Frostbite changed Bioware's approach to development?

MMGN.com writes: Bioware's first full release since 2012's Mass Effect 3 brings with it the expectation of redemption.

The developer's first foray using the Frostbite engine, and its first true open-world RPG, could reignite interest in the Dragon Age series, which hasn't seen a release since 2011's Dragon Age II.

Coming to all major consoles (excluding Wii U, including PS4 and Xbox One), the game will hopefully be a good introduction to the new generation for the acclaimed developer.

MMGN sat down with producer Cameron Lee at Gamescom to talk briefly about the evolution of the genre, working with Frostbite, and that ending.

My most anticipated game of the year, not by a mile, but it is my most anticipated. I fell in love with Origins and after DA2, I didn't think what looks to be a true sequel to Origins would ever happen. I need this game inside my.... erm ps4.

So pumped.

Hopefully in a more positive way than EA has.

This is the only game i've preordered this year. One of my favorite franchises <3

How dare they make some missions exclusive based on certain decisions! Don't they know what happens if things are exclusive?!? We're gamers! We want everything and we want it for free!!!!!!!!!!! And we'll go crazy if we don't get it!!!!!

I joke I joke, I kid I kid

Bioware is my favorite developer of all time. I've had many arguments between friends as to who's better Naughty Dog or Bioware. And I think what puts Bioware on top is they draw you into their world completely. ND games are like a great popcorn flick, get your heart racing. But when it's over its cool. Bioware games are like a great book, it's so deep you feel like you can't escape and you're ok with that.

Never played any of the prior games but this game is definitely on my Radar.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus902d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol
