This isn't anything new. Not sure about amazong but Target, Walmart, and Best Buy have had everything Vita related minus the systems in the clearance section for months. Same with the PlayStation Move, got the camera, 2 controllers, 2 nav controllers, the gun, and Sorcery for 50 bucks total.

vongruetz3531d ago

I wish. I saw a ton of Vita games at my Target thinking they were in some kind of clearance section, but they were still priced at full retail.
Thought I found a bargain, but it wasn't meant to be.

Summons753531d ago

Target has a weird clearance system. They start by barely taking anything off then slowly reduce prices over time. I Dont like it but if you wait it out you can get a lot for good prices.

imo the price of memory cards is what killed the vita.. you should not be in a position of not buying a game because you need a new memory card that costs the same or more than a game..

Yi-Long3532d ago

Agreed. The ridiculous pricing of those memorycards was one of the main reasons that kept me from buying a Vita for a long long time, and now that I finally bought a Vita, my 8GB memorycard is full with games, so I can't be bothered even considering buying a new game, cause then I'll have to remove games and saves from my memorycard, or buy a new one, which I don't want, because of those high prices.

C-H-E-F3532d ago

Yeah, that really hurt me in the beginning. I understand why they locked the mem. cards but at those high prices it negates the decision to look out for customer best interest. I love my vita, I love my digital titles, but sheesh that 100$ for my 64gb Japanese memory card hurt. I had to choose between that or ps tv and seeing that I bought a VITA for handheld experience I figured i'd do just that until it dies 10-15 years from now.

Soldierone3532d ago

Seriously. Look at the cards here, "on sale" yet still pushing 100 dollars? Come on now. Got the same size card for my camera for 10 bucks, got a micro version for my phone for 25 bucks..... Even "HD" cards don't cost this much.

When people say Sony is ignoring the Vita, it isn't just conferences, it's dumb mistakes like this that never got fixed.

GameSpawn3532d ago

It's funny. Some of the 64GB cards are going for $65 on Amazon, but then they turn around and ask $30 shipping!

You really are better off importing a 64GB card anyway though (stay away from those shipping gougers) as the 64GB is $10-20 over local retail's 32GB cards usually ($99 MSRP - Amazon is selling them at around $65 though...for now) and you are getting double the space for far less than double the price -- it's a no brainer. I got my 64GB for around $100 after shipping from Japan - qualified for Prime - and got the card in 2 days (this was MONTHS ago BTW).

C-H-E-F3532d ago

Same here proud amazon prime subscriber. I got mine around the same time as well around E3(ish).

Lionalliance3532d ago

Why won't they reduce the memory card prices already?!

HentaiMasterRace3532d ago

Because Sony wants the Vita dead.

Menkyo3532d ago

good the memory cards are too expensive.

It wouldn't have mattered, Sony would've rushed it out and left it to die. More so now than before with their focus now being on SP narrative driven AAA games.

CrimsonWing69514d ago

Oh, but somehow Smash Bros. 64 made it work?

It just couldn’t compete with Smash Bros. and it wasn’t a free-to-play game like Multiversus.

PapaBop514d ago

I think it released at the right time. It's just after the success of Smash and Multiversus, it's finally time for a sequel.

spoonard514d ago

I'd be all in on a remake or remaster of the original. I enjoyed it because I didn't sit there and compare every aspect to SSB. I just enjoyed it as it was.

Magatsuhi514d ago

Sony should make part 2 and dump a good amount of money on it. Scrap super only kills and it's bound to succeed.

Father__Merrin514d ago

Yes the power kills spoilt it completely WTH was they thinking you should have hp bar that's it

God of War: Ragnarok Weirdly Makes PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Canon

God of War: Ragnarok has plenty of fun references to PlayStation history, but now fans have discovered a conversation that calls back to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale — the crossover fighting game released for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Nyxus521d ago

I wouldn't say canon. More like an easter egg.

Deathdeliverer521d ago

That’s interesting. It actually does make it canon lol. He mentioned it in a mainline game. I’d say that’s pretty cool.
