Looks ok but I'm so burned out on this game

JoeIsMad3536d ago

There's really no wonder that the game is losing members a million at a time. The formula can't hold up for 10 years without innovation, and since they keep promising to go 'back to the old' WOW, they can't deliver.

and theres a reason why every other MMORPG is a clone copy of WOW, ex. RIFT, Wildstar.

The game is losing nearly a million subs a quarter now, I stopped playing in MOP when they decided that the last raid should last a year, if they want subs back they need to go back to the WotLK formula, they have half the subs compared to then, it was nearly 13 million subs during the last raid now they are in the 6 million subs area and going down every week.

Million at a time? what time? No innovation? BGs, Arena, Raids, world pvp events, Xmog, battle pets, gemming, reforging, upgrading, BoA gear, barber shop, new classes, new continents, new spells, new lore,.......i honestly could go on forever. These things may not be 'innovation', but where is the 'innovation' in other MMOs? WoW loses over 2 mil subcribers since MoP, which is more than most MMOs have altogether...yet they still have 9 mil left. I love when ppl say 'wow is dieing'...its alot like when ppl say Nintendo is dieing.

@mrmagoo123

A mil a quarter? srsly? and you expect people to believe that statement? If this were true, wow would have lost over 8mil subs durring MoP....guess what...they havent. Go back to Wotlk formula? So basically, one guy says tehy need NEW things, another claims greverting back to old expansions will work. Im glad neither of you work for blizz. Might i ask what badass MMO yall are playing?

@seraphym
Million a quarter NOW does not mean "the entire duration of this expansion." That number is a bit of an exaggeration, but they lost 800k subscribers this past quarter. They appear to have lost ~3.2mil over the course of this expansion.

WotLK was no better for content release though. The last raid was up for a ridiculous amount of time on that one too (or up to Ruby Sanctum).

Blizzard do good expansions, but their content patches release at a terrible canter. I assume it is a consequence of a 10 year old game having 10 year old content building tools.

The problem with that is you pay for the expansions separately, so the subscription is seriously poor value. Yet they still have the cheek to add a cash shop on top of it.

Such an epic cinematic! Blizzard should just make movies with this

Gazondaily3535d ago

Yeah man wow. That was epic. One day...one day in-game visuals will look like that.

And when that day comes....we'll probably be dead p_p

Magnus7013536d ago

When is the damn movie coming out?

Jyndal3535d ago

Sometimes I feel like going back to WoW...then I play a little Wildstar and the feeling goes away.

Perjoss3535d ago

It is a really good cinematic, Bliz are doing such a great job with facial animation recently, but I still prefer the Mists and Cata cinematics.

Neixus3535d ago

Actually, i think this is the best yet.

If you don't know the lore behind it, Garrosh time traveled back to that timeline. When the pit lord died, Grom was supposed to die, but as you can see Garrosh saved him.

Then his line came ''Time's changed''
That line alone, was so epic.
