Bungie's Community Manager Eric 'Urk' Osborne responds.
Destiny has made over $160 million in MTX revenue, and these numbers only account the data from late 2017 to early 2019.
That's extremely low for microtransactions, especially for a game that's essentially designed around it
For as much as ppl complain how much they hate microtransactions, they sure don’t act like it. No wonder they aren’t going anywhere.
In Episode 1 of Spot On, a new weekly news show, Gamespot talks about the dangers of chasing a trend.
Playing Destiny 1 on PC has been something fans have been requesting for years. It looks like Destiny 1 is now playable on PC via the RPCS3 emulator.
Bad enough that gameplay is repetitive. Now the locales will be too. Not a single thing about this game speaks to me. The beta was boring, and although it was only a beta, it didn't give me the impression that would justify even a fraction of the hype Activision is imposing upon it.
Can anyone please explain why this game is so good (other than saying they simply "liked it")?
Like it? Great.
But why? What makes you like it, in your opinion?
If they don't fix them communication issue than the game won't become the fun social experience that Bungie are hoping it will.
FOr goodness sake, all I want to do is ask the guy dancing next to me where he got his cool cape from?
But No! I have to first invite him to a fireteam, which involves going into orbit (even though he is right next to me), then going into PSN, then writing out a messege, then...
By which time the dude is in the middle of a strike, and all the fireteam slots are full up anyway, so I can't join him. But I didn't want to join him in a Strike anyway all I wanted was to know where he got his cape from...
*sob*sniff*sob*
Kind of a let down in a way... That was specifically what I was worried about. I was hoping for 3-4 areas for each planet.
I don't believe in Destiny, i think we build our own path.
It's Bungie. They know what they're doing.
Every game will have its haters regardless (although most of the haters are likely just old butthurt fanboys that played Halo and was disappointed when 343 took over to ruin it so now they have to try and convince themselves that 343 is doing a better job with Halo).
