What? The employees literally tell you every time you walk in.

uptownsoul3559d ago

I guess only a handful of gamestop customers know how to read... I mean "TRADE IN YOUR GAMES FOR [fill in the percent]" is plastered all over every entrance to every gamestop I've ever been in

daggertoes833559d ago (Edited 3559d ago )

Yea that's hard to believe.

ScottyHoss3559d ago

I think they're confusing "know" with "care", thrift shops pay more than EBgames

badboyz093559d ago (Edited 3559d ago )

Like anyone who's stupid enough to trade there.

knifefight3559d ago

Have you met humans, though?
They're terrible at listening.

And worse at understanding.

strangeaeon3559d ago

I assume you don't consider yourself human?

knifefight3559d ago

Huh? I don't understand what you're saying.

SaiyanFury3559d ago

KnifeFight is right. I've been watching people for years. You can put a big sign right in front of peoples' faces, and people won't read it. They'll walk right by it without paying a single heed to it. He's also right about listening. People don't bother paying attention. I see it every day of every week of every month of every year. I guess most people just don't bother thinking anymore...

Eddie201013559d ago

Every time I have went into a Gamestop to buy a new game, they always try to sell me the used copy of the game. That's every single Gamestop I have been in, so somebody is telling a big fat lie.

shivvy243559d ago

They did it to me too with bf3, but i was like no cause then i would have to buy the online pass from psn. Anyway i never buy preowned lol.

CerebralAssassin3559d ago (Edited 3559d ago )

Its based on their survey. Customers must be hitting no when asked if they are informed of trade program. Which is dumb because of all the marketing used to push trades. People just dont pay attention to their surroundings is all

ELpork3559d ago

You'd be part of the 40% they mention. You have no idea how vapid the majority of people are unless you get to work retail, or a job where you have to deal with them on a daily basis. And I'd agree with that %, having worked there for far to long.

Avalanche3559d ago

that doesn't mean they listen.

i work there, you won't believe how many people ask questions when the answer is literally hanging in front of there face.

"Where are your 360 games?"

"On the wall where it says 360 games"

some people literally go in there completely oblivious to EVERYTHING

"Im looking for a game but i don't know what its called or what it looks like or what system its for"

instead of the Gamestop hate, why don't we bash to stupid consumers who exist in the world.

40% isn't exactly a handful...

MysticStrummer3559d ago

Every GameStop employee I've ever dealt with, in every GameStop I've ever been in, has gone out of their way to ask if I have anything to trade.
