10 Xbox One Console Exclusives we wish were coming to the PS4

Playstation gamers have been spoilt for choice since the console launched with a selection of AAA exclusives (Infamous, Killzone), third-party blockbusters (Assassins Creed, Wolfenstein, Watch_Dogs) and smaller/indie titles (Entwined, Octodad, Outlast). It is an embarrassment of riches.

Of course, on the other side of the fence, the Xbox One has been building its own impressive portfolio of exclusive games, slowly building momentum with a glut of great looking games coming in the second half of 2014. For any Playstation exclusive gamer (like myself) I think it is healthy to look over the divide at what other consoles have or will be receiving as an exclusive. It can serve to help you appreciate the games you have or will be playing in the future on your chosen console. It helps keep perspective of the wider gaming world in general. It also gives a glimpse into what may be coming to your console in the future or what developers might be striving to achieve.

With this in mind, we have come up with a list of 10 Xbox One exclusives that we wish were coming to the PS4.

Mods? It seems like you have no idea of No Man's Sky. Everything from trees to dinosaurs is procedurally generated evryting can have all kind of shape, size color and so on. They only build blueprints for everything and the Engine creates the stuff, the game is modding itself.

But at e3, they were very careful to say the game is making its 'console debut' on PS4. They stopped way short of calling it an exclusive, I can only assume it's because the game will be on other consoles.

There's been no confirmation either way, but when pressed on the issue, the devs say "we're only talking about ps4 right now"... That's typical speech for a company with a temporary marketing agreement.

Unless Sony is completely funding that game, they'd be retarded to make that an exclusive. If you're an indie with a game like that you're going to want the max amount of profits you can get. If they stay console exclusive, for the sake of their studio, they better get a sweet deal from Sony.

Are we looking at the same list? Aside from Quantum Break, this is not a good list to reflect the Xbox One exclusives.

- 90% of those indie games will come to the PS4
- Titanfall is not an Xbox One console exclusive
- Insomniac Games last 2 games have an average of 66

You could make a much best list than this to properly reflect the Xbox One, IMO. Like adding Scalebound and Halo for starters.

What I love about this list is that a majority of them are indie games. It seems XB1 may not get the most indie games, but they sure are getting the best ones.

PS Phil Spencer already hinted at no Man's Sky coming to XB1 after the timed exclusivity.

I consider it a smaller title and called it as such intentionally to avoid labeling it as an "indie" game. I call them smaller titles based on the lower cost of their development when compared to the bigger, "block buster" or "AAA" titles. I do not label it as such based on how many hours they claim the game to last.

The game looks cool and interesting, regardless of how anyone decides to title it.

Out of that list, the only one that seems quite interesting to me is Quantum Break. If TF had a lengthy amazing SP then I would probably be interested in it too, but online MP games really don't do it for me anymore. I didn't even play KZ:SF online once, even though I had originally planned to since I loved KZ2 online.

But if the XB1 can muster up about 15-20 AAA exclusives that I would want to play, then I would really consider getting one. But between multiplats performing better on the PS4 and plenty of exclusives to choose from over here, I see no reason to get a XB1 anytime soon. Maybe in 2 or 3 years.

I honestly only want sunset overdrive. None of those games interest me.
Especially inside with my new learned info that it's made by the makers of Limbo, which is the single worst game I've played my entire life (not exaggerating). The challenge of the game is not based on skill and being able to overcome hard challenges. It's about getting to a screen; dying from an obsticle that can't be seen because of the games awful art style (yep I said it, it's awful); Jumping over the obstacle; repeat. A game isn't fun when the only way to perceive an obstacle is by having it kill you. It should be possible to get through a game without dying if you're really good at games. It's not, and I'm assuming inside will be the same crap.

Inside looks fabulous but no word on if that is just a timed exclusive or not. Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive and Ori and the Blind Forest look good too, and those should remain as Xbox exclusives.

Titanfall may or may not show up on the PS4 - it may end up just being the sequel, so PS4 fans will get a chance to try the game eventually.

Sony have already done it in the past with Media Molecule based on what they of the "Next Big Thing Demo" that went on to become Little Big Planet.

It takes time for a smaller studio to port code from one platform to another, and they usually don't have the money and/or manpower to develop for them both simultaneously.

Unfortunately they have to go around the parity clause in the ID@Xbox program if they want to be on both platforms. If they release as an "exclusive" first on PS4, they can then release later on an Xbox platform without issue.

Aside from a larger initial install base, Sony also provides enhanced advertisement for exclusives to promote the release, but no money changes hands contrary to Neixus' opinion.

Because it's a Sony exclusive. That's why the hype. These consoles have been out for 8 months. 3 years from now Xbox will be in control. I buy consoles for games I can buy and play for years not days. Indie games and redbox rentals are not for me. The Order, Naughty dog and God of War games are things I rent, play through the cinematic story; dabble in the multiplayer than I'm done. Halo 5 and Gears 4 are going to EPIC, pardon the pun. And multiplayer and co op that I'll play for a long time. Not only hype for Drive club, but Uncharted 4 as well. Because UC1 and UC3 were just average games. The series as a whole isn't that great.

I felt jealous and envy of the MS exclusives too, that is why I went ahead and bought the Titanfall bundle in March after initially went with PS4 on launch day and swore that will be my only console. No regret whatsoever. Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, and Halo MC will be awesome this Fall.

Interesting that none of the games in the picture associated with the article are actually in the article. (Dead Rising 3 was good, and Ryse was more entertaining than I expected. No interest in the other two).

I have both systems, and I definitely plan to get Inside, Below, and Ori, and have TitanFall. I'll probably get Sunset Break, but haven't decided for sure. I want to see more about Quantum Break before I decide one way or the other. I think Fable Legends might have potential (I'd like to actually try it out first though). And right now, I have no idea what Scalebound even is, but is something I'll keep an eye on.

PS4 has Bloodborne, The Order:1886, Deep Down, Galak-Z, The Witness (the last two are technically not exclusive but their project directors have said they aren't working on the XB1 at this time), Rime, Everyone has gone to Rapture, and Abzu that are all must buys to me.

by then the OS has been patched multiple times, there's somekind of a library of games and if you're lucky the prices might have dropped a bit

The one game on that list that i would say i truly would buy day one is Quantum Break if it was on the ps4, because Remedy never disappoints and the first two max payne games are my favorite 3rd person shooters ( the Rockstar one lacked the earlier ones charm imo).

Inside, Ori And The Blind Forest, and Scale Bound are the only games that i'm interested that won't be on PS4. Titanfall, Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, i'm not interested in them in the least. No creativity or imagination involved in Titanfall or Sunset Overdrive. Titanfall is just COD rehashed with Mech suits. Sunset Overdrive is a cross between Tony Hawk and Dead Island = MEH. I don't know anything about Quantum Break so I can't really judge it based on screen shots. The rest of the games listed in the article, nope. I haven't seen any exclusive available for the Xbox One that would make me buy one. The only game that would seriously make me consider buying an Xbox One is Scale Bound. Just my opinion.

I have ZERO interest in either Titanfall or Sunset Overhype. I would not buy those games even if they were available on PS4! Ori and the Blind Forest does look good, as do a couple of the other indie titles. But none of these games are ones I couldn't easily live without.

Xbox only makes games for teenagers like seriously who wants to play the crap they come out with ? Sony exclusives are for more matrure gamers. I played Halo when I was in high school and Sunset Overdrive looks like a damn cartoon. Forza is a bootleg Gran Turismo and TitanFall is about as overrated as any game I've ever seen.

If people want the games so bad then go buy a xb one, never played ryse but I saw a video and it looked graphically amazing, as for the rest of the games on the list they look questionable, Quantum Break i'm sure will be good possibly atop notch game time will tell. The other games look to be on the animated side which is fine but for a new next gen console looking to show it's power and with not much games out I would be hopping to have stronger titles than these for exclusives that would showcase what the console is all about.

No Man's Sky needs to be on Xbox One and it's the kind of game which needs to be cross-platform (PS4 - Xbox one - PC).

In terms of interest/jealousy level (As someone who currently owns a PS4, but not an XBO) I can only speak for myself.

Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime :- Umm. no.

Inside :- Loved Limbo and this is oozing with potential. Time will tell if they can re-capture the Limbo puzzle magic, but yes, I am interested, if not quite jealous.

Cuphead :- The art style is great, a hat tipping exercise to old cartoons, but not a fan 2D side-scrollers. Interest level is very low/zero.

Ori and The Blind Forest :- Seems full of adventure, story and beauty, lifting it above traditional fare. Not sure how it would rate against a Child of Light. It has perked my interest, but certainly not jealous.

Below :- I have some interest in this game, all but confirmed to be coming to PS4. Just a question of when. Happy to wait. Jealousy level is zero.

Sunset Overdrive :- First significant game on the list. Certainly interested, and if I owned an XBO already, I would almost definitely get it. It is not enough though to make me run out and buy one. Jealously level mild.

Peggle 2 :- Umm. Seriously. How did this make the list? Can be played on everything, everywhere, usually for free. The last sort of game I would bother playing on a console. Interest zero.

Quantum Break :- Ah yes! XBO's one great exclusive (in my opinion). Early days, but the potential is huge. Not enough on its own to make me run out and buy an XBO, but jealously level on this one is high.

Fru :- Umm, no.

Titanfall :- Obviously a great game. Could get on PC though if I really cared. Lack of single-player is a issue for me. I love a good FPS multi-player in short doses, but get bored very quickly. Interest to try it out is high, but jealous very low. I expect I would stop playing very quickly.

I await the attacks and barbs. But hey, this is my opinion, based on the sort of games I like. The only thing here that makes me consider an XBO is Quantum Break.

I understand not everyone has the money to buy both, or all three systems. But if a system has a bunch of games coming that are not on your platform, and you would buy them at 60 a game, is the extra $400 over the 6+ years you will own the system really a big deal? Thats why I don't see any need for articles like this unless it's just link bait. It's fine to have an opinion, but if all games were on all consoles, we would only need one. Which might be better so the internet quits arguing about which is better.

No man sky? O_o No plot, Npc, or enemies. Reminds me of Flower only in the Galaxy with a aircraft & some mammals on earth. Both XB1 & PS4 gamers are interested in this. That is a first. Give me a Bioware plot, Bethesda content, Naughtydog graphic fidility, GTA online, & BF4 64 players multiplayer. And id love it too.

There isn't any Xb1 games I can get into.
Id take a time exclusive Next gen Kotor.
