Social justice in video games is currently a hot-button topic. While the calls for tolerance and diversity are important, the message being sent by advocates don't seem to be getting across. Here are several reasons why.

Talking about social issues in video games is not unhealthy, I think. I think we should open ourselves up to those debates so that the industry itself can evolve the way films did. that being said, a lot of the people starting those debates seem to be slinging mud for little to no reason. Tomodachi Life's detractors claimed Nintendo were bigoted or anti-gay for excluding same sex marriage from the game when that was hardly the case.
I think one of the reasons it's "tough" is the fact that most of these entitled "gamers" aren't seeking "Social Justice", but playing the 'I want and you can't have' game. No one played games looking for it to solve or discuss real world problems, until people like that stupid entitled hypocrite Anita and her simp BF opened their trap.
