Probably because it's a significant license, and their dealings with DC or Warner or whoever would probably have leaked through some other avenue.

On the game, I played the demo on the 360 ages ago and thought it was pretty piss poor. I bought the game on Steam the other day (cos even a piss poor game can be worth £5) and I am actually really enjoying it. The fighting still sucks, but the presentation of the story is pretty good.

Well they are working on MK10 but its a bit strange to announce it now in 2014.

So the studio is planning on giving each game a 3 year cycle alternating between MK and IGAU...
maybe as fans we would like them quicker but I would rather them better...In a world of yearly sequels and delays I like a studio that takes time to think about what they are doing and giving each department something to do consistently and keep the talent working..

Well gives me time to play the first one. I got the PS4 ultimate edition for $15 with a $5 coupon at the Target store near me ( I'm in Canada). There is a fire sale going on for select game titles. And they are printing $5 coupons for games like gangbusters. Also tempted to get Super Mario 3d world for $25 with coupon as well..

SO WHY ANNOUNCE IT THEN?

God this announcing games years early is getting annoying. The Entwined launch was such a breath of fresh air. They announced the game, showed off a sweet little demo, and then released the game on PSN that very minute right when everyone was most interested. More publishers need to start doing that.
