Watch Dogs is still UK #1

Even an 81 per cent drop in sales can't shift Watch Dogs from its place as UK number one. 39 per cent of those picking up a copy this week chose PlayStation 4 as their platform, with Xbox One and Xbox 360 each getting a 22 per cent share of the action.

Murdered: Soul Suspect entered at three, just 400 sales behind Mario Kart 8 at two, while MMO Wildstar entered at 14 and controversial life simulation Tomodachi Life for the 3DS arriving at 15.

Thats because there are no other games out lately

BoneBone3602d ago

True. People are buying it, but gamers on the net just don't seem to be talking about it... it's just completely dead air.

Mario Kart 8 on the other hand...

Only took three months and titanfall is sill top 10.....didn't happen to see where infamous SS is on that top 20 list

Codey473602d ago (Edited 3602d ago )

Zomg! Wasn't expecting Watch Dogs to ever come close to Activision Respawned's Titanfall.

...I were lead to believe, Titanfall was an immovable force to be reckoned with in the gaming industry. Especially after all that 75 awards at E3 piffle.

Anywho, well done Ubi.

No_Limit3602d ago (Edited 3602d ago )

Great hold for Watchdog. I hope UBIsoft don't actually trying to milk it though and have annual releases like Assassin's Creed. I don't mind Assassin's Creed as an annual title but for a game that is trying to match GTA, it should allow longer development time for a sequel.

Looking Ahead: The Lingering Questions About the Next Mario Kart

VGChartz's Mark Nielsen: "10 years. It’s been almost 10 years since the last mainline release in the Mario Kart series. Mario Kart 8 came out for the Wii U in 2014 and became the best-selling game for the system by a sizeable margin, and later pulled the same magic trick on the Nintendo Switch under the stage name Deluxe. All in all, it's sold nearly 70 million copies over the last decade and is still selling like hot cakes to this day, so it’s no wonder Nintendo has been in no rush to replace it. However, with rumors of a new system being just around the corner, and reports a few years back that a new Mario Kart is indeed under way, it seems the era of 8 might very well be drawing to a close. It’s an exciting prospect to be sure, but after two Nintendo systems with Mario Kart 8 at their heart, a lot of questions remain about how Nintendo will choose to follow it up."

I hope they just keep building on Mario Kart 8; Add a track-creation tool, and probably open it up to more Nintendo IPs with new tracks and characters, so Metroid, Punch Out, Starfox, Animal Crossing, etc etc.
