Rumor – Is Ultra Street Fighter IV Coming To PlayStation 4?

MP1st - Ultra Street Fighter IV is now available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners who wish to digitally upgrade older versions of Super Street Fighter IV. The PC version, as well as physical retail copies of the full console game, are poised to launch in August. But it now appears that Capcom’s fighter may come to another platform as well.

XB1 one version could work , they after all had the only other fighting game exclusive on next gen (killer instinct) . And SF4 did more than fine on 360 .

On wiiU however ? it'd would be pointless . If anime styled fighting games arent even released or considered for WiiU in Japan , it's unlikely to happen for many franchises .

Especially after Tekken Tag 2 and Injustice bombed on wii U

I can see it happening, with a fighting game already out and a few on their way, Capcom will probably want a presence on next gen too. If they don't just port the current versions and add some "next gen" like features, I'll be all for it. I'd imagine it will be out on Xbox One too, after all that Xbox has the bigger community, it wouldn't make any sense to make it PS4 exclusive.

It has a bigger community for most fighting games however ask any high level SF or MK player which console they should get for the high level competition and they'll say Xbox 360 .. at least the western players will, not sure about Japan.

True enough but that still doesn't change the fact that the majority of the competitive SF community play over Xbox Live.

I know Arc Sys games have a much bigger following over PSN as does Tekken to the best of my knowledge but not all fighting games do.

It most likely will happen. I honestly don't think Capcom would miss the opportunity to make quick cash off of a game they've been investing in since 2009. It's easy money and Capcom is low on cash lately.

I'm hoping for a complete port to both consoles. They don't even need to touch the graphics. With that art style its really not even neccessary. With this my KI TE Fightstick and my Chronusmax I'll be in heaven. Honestly the game is the most balanced and tight fighter that's ever existed. I don't mind them updating it once every year or so. Those of you saying its just a cash grab need to realize its not like the old days. Their not completely re-releasing the same game at full price under a new name. I don't mind playing 14.99 once a year to get a good amount of additional content and balancing tweaks for an awesome game. Because of this the game has been alive and going strong for years. It's really surprising that people would rather they follow the Madden/Nba 2k route and release an identical game with a few additions at full price.
