Bound by Flame Video Review | PushStartPlay

Bound by Flame is the latest instalment from French developer, Spiders. They have had a fairly rocky history of late, most notably for their most recent title Mars: War Logs that was quickly forgotten about, as well as their involvement in the development of Of Orcs and Men, which while it had promise, it sorely missed the mark somewhere along the line. Needless to say, it seems Spiders has learned from their past mistakes and have finally put their all into a fantastic RPG with Bound by Flame.

9 /10 what the heck man . this game skzz :( i feel sad ...i wanted this game to be good so badly but ...

a personal opinion is not a subjective judgement.

the scores for the game go from under 5 to 9, some people get it some people don't, It's a good thing reviewers are making their own judgement and not just following trends.

A personal opinion should not be the subject of the review. A review should be judging the games' design, stability, playability, and how it all blends together. It should be an unbiased informative piece that goes over all the strengths and weaknesses and if the game is strong enough to justify a purchase.

Sure you can write articles after about why you loved/hated the game but a review should have no infliction based on your personal feelings because an average game may not be worth the play through or purchase to you, could be to someone else. When people read/watch reviews it's because they want to know the strengths/ weaknesses, does the content make it worth a replay, is there enough content to expand the game, is the gameplay intuitive and fun or is it clunky and unresponsive.

People need to get this review = opinion thing out of their heads, it leads to bad writing and uninformative pieces. Same goes for review score too, when did getting a 6/7 = worst game ever! It's a scale of (awful)1 - 10 (amazing) for a reason. Scores going from 5-9 on this game with (from what i've seen) very few higher scores. In general this seems like an average game that had great potential but lost it's focus somewhere in development.

The rating for this game is all over the place... from 1.5 to 9... who do you trust?

TheTowelBoy3637d ago

Ask for a demo then trust that lol even then it may be a rent or something along those lines. It may hit PS+ too

WitWolfy3638d ago

Just watch someone play it on Twitch.tv and decide from there.

9/10 so it's just as good as Bioshock Infinite. C'mon.

morganfell3638d ago

The upgrade system is 10 times as deep as Infinite. Small nuances and decisions matter.

sdozzo3638d ago

But you see my logic right?

morganfell3637d ago

No. I am not trying to be obstinate but plenty of people believe this title deserves high marks. They know because like me they have been playing it. It isn't a perfect game but neither is it some bargain rack affair. I played Infinite and it also had its share of issues with far too many 10s granted on the basis of the BioShock name.

thezeldadoth3637d ago

^ logic? now your opinion is logical? I didn't enjoy bioshock infinite at all, but this game is fun to me.

Get over yourself.

sdozzo3635d ago

Logic as in if this game and Bioshock Infinite get the same score they are just as good as one another. Which really is not true. It has nothing to do with my ego or opinion being logic.

Get over yourself for attacking people. (see how that sounds. Like a child).

Reviewer mentioned he played Dark Souls on lowest difficulty. WTF? There is no difficulty setting in Dark Souls. Makes me question the entire review.
