Metal Gear Solid's latest instalment has garnered lots of controversy regarding its depiction of female characters. Are these arguments justifiable though?
Whether it's showcasing damage realistically or simulating fractures and conditions, these games are worth checking out.
The Metal Gear series has sold 60.2 million copies, as of September 2023.
...and yet, they couldn't give more respect and effort into the collection.
What a terrible company.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is another rollercoaster of a game in the Metal Gear Solid series. Here's what to expect and why you need to experience it.
Amazing how bad this game looks already. We keep acting like this gen doesn't feel like an update but I think we're starting to see it.
The game started really strong in that hospital, but after a couple of hours I wondered if it was even an mgs game I was playing.
"The very fact that Metal Gear Solid is receiving so much bad publicity for its treatment of Paz and Quiet only serves to highlight the hypocrisy of the gaming community."
I couldn't agree more with this statement. Clearly the people complain either have an agenda or have no idea what they are talking about. This whole issue is knee deep in hypocrisy and is only serving to expose people with their little agenda's that don't really care about the issue.
Best article about the issue, more than just looking at the parts but at the whole.
An excellent article. I was impressed the author presented actual examples from franchise history rather than a general claim. Well written and thought provoking.
Here is a writer who actually knows what is going on with the series & the game as a whole. So tired of this gender specific arguments about violence in the game or any other game for that matter.
We had strong female characters in MGS but where were the articles talking about them? Did we forget Paz was a strong but psychotic women at the end of Peacewalker? I commend Kojima for pushing the boundaries of his games regardless of 'political' issues.
Perfect Article, Loved it !
