If you own a PS4, then the simple answer is yes.

Mikelarry3662d ago

More like HELL YEEAahhh!!!, but seriously yes my first dabble in the infamous franchise and i had a blast playing this game

Neonridr3662d ago

Me too. I never had a PS3, so I never got to experience the first two. Maybe down the road on PS Now perhaps.

I didn't want to go overboard with my reaction, lol. Shooting rainbows and prancing unicorns dancing around to my "H to the Izzo! You a damn foo unless you play this game!!"

To be honest this should be at the top of the list for any PS4 owner. Probably the best game in the library to date.

Hicken3662d ago

Dude, air is so overrated. 4/10, personally.

HammerKong3662d ago

those who dont own ps4 also must play this game,i know this not the best infamous but an very fun and worth playing game, story is weak but gameplay is best in the series so far and are best graphics in a game so far, weak story can hurt people like me,but i payed this game for its gameplay alone.

xBigxBossx3661d ago

Idk, I got it off gamefly and it's good don't get me wrong. But if you played one or 2 it's the same thing over and over. It's extremely polished, but I wouldn't drop 60 on it. Just my opinion. For gamefly though it was fun.

I have a PS4 but haven't purchased this game yet. I have the first two still that I haven't touched.

Should I play the first two or not bother at this point??

TitanUp3662d ago

i wouldnt worry about the first 2 games im new to infamous and i love second son.

GarrusVakarian3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

You definitely don't need to play the past 2 games, but i would still recommend playing them, the Festival of Blood standalone DLC for Infamous 2, too.

HammerKong3662d ago

if you would ask me i recomend to play last 2 atleast ,those were master pieces and best infamous so far,new one is a blast in gamplay but game is far from perect because of its story.

Ilovetheps53662d ago

The previous two aren't required to play Second Son as Lukas said. However, I personally believe that the first inFamous was the best. I'm not going to spoil anything for you in case you decide to play them, but there were just certain parts about the first game that made it much more fun and it just had a better storyline and better main character in my opinion. But if you want to bypass those two and play Second Son straight away, you will have no issues doing so.

Negative773662d ago

Thanks for the replies. I've been holding off picking up SS thinking I should play the first two before the new one.

I'll pick it up this weekend probably - but may hit up the first two before I actually dive seriously into SS.

Happy gaming!

windblowsagain3662d ago

I would still play the others and they are excellent games in their own right.

WeAreLegion3662d ago

Play all three and the Festival of Blood DLC. They're all phenomenal games.

sic_chops3662d ago

Its not really a sequel to the other ones as far as the story goes.

ginsunuva3661d ago

Play the first two!

Or at least just the second.

I already beat it twice (once evil and one good guy) but I don't think I will play it again due to the nature of single player only game. I am trading in the game towards my MLB 14 preorder toady as a matter of fact. A great game to play but offer very little value once you beat it.

LOl ,the disagree, I am trading in the game to purchase another PS4 game...don't be so hasty. :-)

fonger083662d ago

Yeah me too, apparently Gamestop will give you close to $40 with the 40% coupon trade-in value. I'll be using that towards Mario Kart.

No_Limit3662d ago

Funny you would say that, as I traded in my copy of XB1 Battlefield 4 for Mario Kart myself and got $35 for it. It is a great thing to own all the consoles, isn't it?

fonger083662d ago

That's right, that's how real gamers, game.

dodgemoose3662d ago

I don't really understand why people are disagreeing with you. It's a great game - which is reflected within reviews - but it doesn't offer any longevity. Once you've completed it from both sides, that's it. That's why I really don't understand why people would buy this game digitally, since you can't sell it on or give it to a friend after you've finished with it (which will happen pretty damn fast).

WeAreLegion3662d ago

I platinumed it. First PS4 platinum! It doesn't take a whole lot of time, either. I barely get to play video games. Lol. Such a wonderful game though. I'd recommend it to anyone.

sAVAge_bEaST3662d ago (Edited 3662d ago )

I still think that inFamous Second Son is the best looking game on Any Console. Period. End of Story.

Lowsnamebrand3662d ago

Agreed never seen such beautiful destruction... Blowing up a line of cars with one smoke mission is poetry in motion IMO

KinjoTakemura3661d ago

Agreed. The lighting and the physics are like nothing I've ever seen. If anyone has seen something comparable on PS4 or Xbox1, i'd like to know what game that is...

JustInTlME3661d ago

Ehhhh…… I love the lighting and reelections but Ground Zeroes still looks better IMO.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM96d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck96d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati96d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos96d ago (Edited 96d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88128d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183127d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie126d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
