I wanted the ps4 but I never preordered knowing I probably have to wait a while but it have me time to think about stuff and I saw that the stores put up the price of the games so I decided to build a pc machine instead :-) now I can enjoy the razor hydra that I bought a while ago and maybe I might buy the Oculas Rift.
Have to say the Xbox was never on my want list even though I could'nt get the ps4
The PS4 is available at amazon, and as far as I can tell has been for over a week. I looked (for fun) Monday, and have checked periodically though out the week and it's been available for prime shipping the whole time. It may have been available even longer but I can't say for sure.
I would bet that some ppl/parents/gift givers, that were going to the store to buy a PS4 and couldn't bought an X1. You got to remember not everyone (in fact few) are as hardcore about PS4 as n4g. It's the same with anything if there are two options and one not available, ppl buy the other. Not in every case but in enough that Sony is acting foolishly by not having it available. Could have been easily fixed by launching in fewer countries.
Dumb article, ppl can't buy ps4 cos they can't find it and end up buying xb1 instead? I don't think ppl just randomly buys product that they know they wouldn't like... Plus ps4 is available at best buy.
