Lol he's talking about the controller

Irishguy953680d ago (Edited 3680d ago )

Misleading headline at it's best. I completely jumped to the conclusion that Sucker Punch just became extremely arrogant. But no, they were just talking about the controller thank god. Well, downvote the site is the best I can do XD. Not that it will actually do anything

I just started playing it about an hour ago, loving it so far and it is amazing looking!

Only beef I have so far is that the devs are forcing us to use R2 as the main attack (like the lightning bolt in previous Infamous games). Seriously, this isn't the xbox, R1 needs to be the main attack button, I HATE having to use R2 in that manner, it feels horribly wrong.

Just because the DS4 has much better R2/L2 triggers this time around (although I never had an issue with the DS3 triggers), doesn't mean every dang game has to use them like the 360/XB1 controller does. Up until this game, I was able to swap R2 for R1 (like in KZ:SF) but this game offers no controller modifications whatsoever.

It's such a minor thing, yet I feel as I have been sold out as a devoted PlayStation gamer. The devs are catering to those who came from the 360, but what about the rest of us who were around on the PS3 ALL last gen and loved using R1 for firing weapons rather than R2?

I knew after the first games came out on the PS4 that devs may start defaulting to using R2, guess my worst fears have come true.

EDIT: Yeah, and L2 is bastardized as well with the aim instead of being on L1 where it belongs. I gotta say, I am extremely pissed off right now because of this. And it is significantly hurting the experience of the game for me.

I feel your pain, I would also much rather use L1/R1 for zoom/attack.

Utalkin2me3680d ago

Sorry i am just the opposite. I hate when i am stuck using the R1/L1 for zoom/attack.

But all games should include a way to change or set the button configuration to fits peoples likes.

So far the 1st truelly next gen open world game. Cant wait for The Witcher 3 & Fallout 4. Love open world games.

Sharius3680d ago (Edited 3680d ago )

more power please!!!

since my copy won't arrive until next week so i spoil myself with tiwtch, and damn this game feel goddamn good, all of these power, traveling and battle it is a huge upgrade compare to I2

not mention the insanse graphic since the game is made truely for next gen machine

Hanso3680d ago

i couldnt believe how amazing seattle looks when i played it yesterday. I was running around 20min sight seing

ShowGun9013679d ago

thats what i was saying to one of my friends... i told him to wait to check out my ps4 until this game, because i didn't have anything that looked "next-gen" yet LOL! (he just got into town this last week) ACBF, NFSrivals, and lego marvel isn't gonna cut it when you're justifying a 400 buck purchase! This game, however, looks gorgeous! money well spent LOL!

ironmonkey3680d ago

this game is straight gorgeous. loving every moment of it.

combatcash3680d ago

Just started playing so far so good. I think it could still look better but overall a nice looking game.

ShowGun9013679d ago

lol it could ALWAYS look better... 7,000 POLYGONS IN HIS BEANY ISN'T ENOUGH FOR YOU!?!?

j/k, but seriously it looks great!

combatcash3679d ago

I think the game looks good but yeah I think with more development time it could still look better, some things look better than others in the game but I am nitpicking a bit overall its a great game looks and gameplay :)

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM96d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck96d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati96d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos96d ago (Edited 96d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88128d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183126d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie126d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
