I'll miss the Mario Kart DS Online days :(

darthv723708d ago

I really liked using the wii as a download station for DS demos. Problem was...the variety of Demos became few and far between.

I can still use the wifi of the wii to do a direct download to my DS of the game geometry wars. That is a 1-1 shot and does not require internet to happen.

So much like the original xbox, the games that offered online will be only half as valuable.

Metroid Prime: Hunters. So many memories.

When all online services are shot down for a mp focused game. How will anyone relive it?

That is why I favour single player games a lot more.

Aleithian3708d ago

I live in fear of that day.

Yodagamer3708d ago

Man I played alot of tony hawk on Ds along with the many Pokemon games. Good times :)

It's always sad to see services from the previous generation start to end. So many memories....

Anyone remember MGS3 online?

SnotyTheRocket3708d ago

Never played it, but MGO in MGS4 was great.

I didn't even know it existed until a month ago. Didn't have the right version of the game I guess

How long until they get sued and it gets taken down? I say a month or 2

PRIMORDUS4d ago

Sued for what? It's just an emulator no ROMs are with it. ROMs are easy to get anyway, but with iPhone you can't just copy and paste like Android unless it's jail broken I think. Anyway Nintendo should be more concerned with their ROMs up to torrent for years for all of their concoles, but then again they can't do nothing about it, they never will and I love it. 🤣

As long as it isn't emulating the Switch, it'll be fine.

RonnySins4d ago

Naaah! Don't want to waste time emulating on iPhone.

Won't belong before Nintendo bangs on Apple's door to have the emu removed. Like I say you take down one six more take it's place. Problem is people are putting emu's on such stupid platforms. The good emus are the ones not on stupid platforms like a red target. The good emu's are word of mouth and keep a low profile.

Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!
