"We’re not talking about games that had a bad sequel, but rather games whose sequels did nothing to forward the franchise or that continued a story that had already been concluded perfectly.
Today, we list off five great games that have unnecessary sequels that just didn’t need to be made." - Travis Tucker
In the next adventure from Ion Fury; We get Phantom Fury and here is the opening level in action.
PSLS writes: I have traveled across the country using the Razer Kishi Ultra in airports and hotels for both PlayStation Remote Play and mobile gaming in general, and I am thoroughly impressed.
Stellar Blade might be the hot game right now, but we already got a better version of it more than half a year ago.
Stellar blade is currently higher than lies of p on metacritic with 40 more reviews. No shade on Lies of P but just pointing that out.
But i don't even know why compare them? Because both are souls type games?
Then you can just reuse this article all the time and say Elden Ring is "whatever new souls game" but good for every new souls game.
Stellar blade hate articles must be rolling with clicks...
I mean… it’s like saying we have a better NieR with Devil May Cry. Yea, there’s some similarities, but Lies is really hardcore in the sense of emulating a FromSoft game almost perfectly, where Stellar has some Souls-like elements, but I’d say it’s closer to Sekiro than say a Dark Souls game. This almost feels click-baitey
Oh geez...this is why journos suck...they can't even see differences between games.
Stellar blade is nothing like lies of P. Didn't these guys give stellar a bad score? Geez they really hate it. Stop the hate! Lol
GOW:A and GoW:J or which ever way round the internet prefers it today.
Oh and FF XIII
I'd like it if Uncharted 4 or whatever it is called looks back to the original Drake's Fortune for some inspiration.
Giving variations on what happened in UC2 and UC3 is just going to give diminishing creative returns. You don't have to keep on trying to out-Citizen Kane Citizen Kane. Making the next Uncharted fun is enough- do things that have not been done at all or for a long time. When Drake enters a room give him multiple options to finish off enemies and progress. A collapsible building that he can shoot for instance.
Personally I miss the pleasure of traversing a river on jetskis. I know that the section is not everyone's favourite because it can be tricky but I'd like to see more jungle and more set pieces (traps if required) in the next Uncharted game. I'd like more atmospheric opulence as well- Dishonored has stayed in my head. It'd be good if it all went a bit James Bond Licence to Kill and you were forced to join sides with an enemy and do tasks for them.
a multitude of COD sequels definitely.
How about the xbone? It's not a game but it sure was an unnecessary sequel.
