Guess what? DC I played your demo of Lords of Shadows and it sucks b**s. The atmosphere & gameplay were horrible for my taste as a Castlevania fan. The same feeling I got as Donte reveal for the new DmC...

I would NOT compare it to Dante from DmC. I'm a long-time fan of Castlevania as well, having played the originals on NES back in the day. Sure, the demo for Lords of Shadow 2 wasn't that great. However, judging a game on a demo alone is not wise. If it comes out and it sucks, well feel free to bash it. Wait until the full game is released though before passing judgement.

I owned the original LoS at one point, and I feel that it got uncomfortably close to being a combo-focused God of War re-skin with a different story.

I traded it in and didn't regret it. If the sequel is along the same lines[all GoW combat and little free-roaming exploration of different huge areas], then I'll likely skip LoS 2 as well.

I'd give a lot to see Castlevania return to the Metroid-vania style of collecting and upgrading combined with free-roaming exploration of a huge castle or two...

Or, heck, I'd love to see a successor to Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow hit the 3DS or Wii U. That was one of the best iterations of the entire Castlevania line, IMO.

I heard LoS2 was weak but honestly the 1st LoS was outstanding

DMC gamplay wasent messed with just the style. but this was altered beyond be-leaf

2D games are coming back in a big way - this seems odd.

I think there's still room for 2d downloadable Castlevania games as well as a triple A 3d ones.

Trust me, no they aren't, but neither are 3D Castlevanias, they both have an audience and can co-exist fine

Castlevania can rock the 3ds anytime. They had quite a few good side scrollers on DS as well.

Review - A Difficult Game About Climbing (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "A Difficult Game About Climbing is obviously frustrating, and I don’t exactly think it’s a fun pasttime, but it’s exponentially more enjoyable than the horrendous Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy. It’s actually beatable with enough trial and error. Its mechanics, whilst not exactly polished to the brim, work as intended, with no intentional input lag. It’s still clearly meant for Let’s Play youtubers to film themselves losing their minds over it, but it can still be a passable challenge if you’re up for the task."

Review - New Star GP (PC) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I loved that New Star GP ended up being nothing like what I was expecting from it. I thought I was going to get a simple and straightforward love letter to Virtua Racing, only for it to be something more akin to the best F1 racing games from the mid to late 90s, with a perfect blend of accessible physics and simulation elements. New Star GP is adorably retro in its visuals and vibes, but it’s got some surprising amount of depth and an interesting career mode. A little hidden gem in the racing scene, without a doubt."
