Give 'The Elder Scrolls Online' a Chance

Nope...I'm just (impatiently) waiting for Bethesda to announce TESVI, and the next Fallout. I don't do MMOs, and I sure as hell won't pay a monthly fee to play a game I already bought.

You can't exactly give this game a chance without putting down an ass load of money. The first 30 days cost $60 and $15 a month there after? I much as I love the Elder Scrolls, I will never support this type of sales model. Pick either a one time payment or monthly charge.

Yep, it will most likely have to change its model because at the moment they may not meet the game population they want.

only if it goes free to play because i have yet to see anything in this game worth paying a sub fee for. Hell i've seen and played free to play games better than this.

1st I want to say I am getting this game. The problem with ESO is they have done wrong and I think they are deserving of all the bad press.

They advertised the game as "Skyrim with friends" which is not true in so many ways. They should have advertised it differently IMO because that "idea" brings a lot of problems to the table.

Putting the Imperials behind the pay wall, and it look like they are going to be the best tanks in the game because of racial abilities.

Putting the any race any alliance behind the pre order.

They said explore all of Tamriel, the map is not even finished and they are releasing the game.

The main problem, the $15 monthly subscription

I can afford the sub considering I buy somewhere between 12-20 games a year plus DLCs but chances are I will play this for the month until my 30 days are up and move on. I have done that with every subscription game I've played not sure why maybe I don't see the value/worth in them.

TBH I don't really want the game to go F2P as I've seen what companies do to nickel and dime and I wouldn't play it at all.

In the end I think MMOers will like this new MMO but the single player TES fans will skip it or try it and then ditch it because of some of the points above.

Maybe if the game was Skyrim trying to be a MMO instead of a MMO trying to be Skyrim things would be different?

Edit: What you think will happen when if the console version fails to get subscribers but the PC version is doing OK. Will the Sub be dropped on the console versions or will the PC players support what little player base there is on the consoles.

yeah but geez we pay $66 for the game, and then we have too pay $15 every month after that? thats insanity.
