Club Nintendo Europe Offering Adorable Mario-Themed Power-Up Pouches

Last month, on January 9th, Club Nintendo Europe began offering those snazzy multi-colored 3DS XL charging cradles — “priced” at a whopping 4,500 Club Nintendo Stars. But a new item has recently been added to the lineup, which might be a bit more appealing to members whom haven’t saved up enough Stars.

The all-new Mario-themed Power-Up Pouch is being offered in three different colors — light grey, light blue, and blue — and can be redeemed for 2,500 Star Coins. Each Power-Up Pouch can be snugly secured by two soft drawstrings and displays three classic iconic power-up items on the outside: the Mushroom, Invincibility Star, and Fire Flower. These Power-Up Pouches offer a great way to protect your Nintendo 3DS XL, or anything else you wish to tote around.

Redeem physical copies of Switch games for My Nintendo points on the homescreen

It's pretty easy, . Club Nintendo was pretty much the best. You'd pop open that new game case, and other than the new game smell, you'd get a cool little Club Nintendo insert to redeem for points.

Finally a step in the correct direction with this program. I still think that it was developed mainly with the Switch in mind, so when that releases it'll get a major update.

strayanalog2729d ago

Agreed. Hopefully when the Switch releases there will be some killer rewards.

OtakuDJK1NG-Rory2729d ago

That probably why it was lackluster since release.

I hope they get rid of the time limit on coins. I just logged on to find that over 500 silver coins had expired. Stupid.

It's the story of the Nintendo brand sadly.

i am still waiting for the free to play games for wii u and still nothing. :(

Cheezeman30002756d ago

It's ridiculous. I feel like they started it without a plan in mind for where it's going or... what the point of it even is.

Getting a sweet Mario cap with picking up a treasure trove of DS games was so awesome. Nintendo had a good thing going but the last couple of years have been left wanting.

The author made a good point. Perhaps the NX and a renewed focus on connecting with gamers might rekindle the magic.
