I'm just glad to see MS being aggressive here. I really do think we will start to see a better flow of exclusives coming this gen. I mean, I kind of didn't care if it went multiplat, because I own both, but I also didn't want the next-gen debut of one of my favorite series to be plagued by resolution whores.

To be fair, I would have gotten it on MS either way because I prefer their online service and that's where my friends are. But I could almost guarantee it would have had a better res on ps4 and every article would have just been sad. Just kind of relieved is all.

I think certain franchises sort of have a home on certain consoles. In the end, I am not cheering because ps4 fans cannot play it. But it is pretty funny how many notorious PS fanboys will post about gears, calling it "dead", as if to reassure themselves that xbox doesn't have another good exclusive.

I played the real gears games on the X360 being the first one the one my friends always wanted to play most even when gow 2 was out as it was broken for a while, gears had its cycle for me, my friends are not online anymore and I have less time to play, anyone that wanted to play gears I guess have already done it. That's why Epic sold it, no future in there, spin-offs is not their style.

And regardless, there's not much to be excited about here. The guys handling Gears apparently didn't do a good job on the last game, that series is a shell of it's former self. PS4 gamers lose nothing. Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, Media Molecule, Sony Santa Monica, Ready at Dawn, etc, are all still making exclusives for PlayStation, so we don't need to care.

And another thing. Playstation has a ton of exclusives which is why one exclusive doesn't do astronomical numbers like Halo which is one of a few exclusives Xbox has. What bothers me the most is the inconsistencies in the video. Kingdom of Hearts and Metal Gear are Playstation exclusives? Nope, never were. They were released on other platforms, such as Nintendo's and Microsoft consoles. It's like saying Gear of War was always an exclusives, however it was just not on PS3.

that is very untrue. Halo sells well because it has an avid fanbase...it has always been the true definition of a system seller. It is not simply because it's all they have.

And throwing hardware sales numbers around doesn't change the fact that someone wanted to poke a little fun after everyone made such a huge deal over the possibility of a next-gen gears.

More importantly, you talk about attach rate, but the xbox 360 had a better attach rate than the ps3 at the end of it all. So do not argue a point which you do not know about. I for one agree that PS has more exclusives, and yes they tend to be great games, but this is just a funny vid made to make people laugh. Take a deep breath, all will be ok.

Gears was fun but by Gears 3 I was burnt out. I never bothered finishing that one. Quite funny, I really loved the 720p quote! Although I am having trouble understanding all the vitriol thrown around on this and other sights. As a primarily single player gamer (and proud owner of all three Gen 8 systems) I am more excited for InFamous than Titanfall, but I am also super hyped for Quantum Break.

All three have great games! In fact my 3 most anticipated games show that:

I enjoyed playing the first 3 gears and will buy an xb1 for some of its exclusives. 720p doesn't bother me as long as the art direction is good. I have my ps4 for multiplatform games. Out of principle I can't bring myself to pay 500$ so I will wait for a price drop.

This is just a way to help Xbox exclusive gamers feel better. And it's the normal, flipped, "it's just a joke, man" excuse afterwards. I think PlayStation and Nintendo gamers tried the same thing many times before, yet Xbox gamers didn't take it as a joke.

Funny, as just about all videos using this scene are, however it is clearly made by an Xbox One fanboy using tilted information in the subtitles.

Showcasing 90 percent of the people leaving the room leaving a much smaller PS4 crowd then in reality.

Using Halo 3, which none of the other Halo's released since come close to and measuring it against PS3's exclusives from 2007, otherwise known as during the first calendar year of launch when it was $599 and most people avoided it.

Skewing the graphics of Infamous SS being 30 FPS at 1080p and using some real DX11 type effects, when comparing Titanfall's epic fail CoD graphics at 60 FPS.

Alot of incorrect viewpoints and information in the video. It's funny, but wholly incorrect.

Still while Gears should have new life breathed into it with new hardware, it is coming off a lackluster release where it sold like crap. A little over 1 million units? Down 80 percent from say Gears 1 or 2. The original story is over, and while Black Tusk may have a great new trilogy or something up its sleeves, it might have a real stinker of a story as well. We simply don't know. Finally it's most likely a 2016 release, maybe even Q4 2016, so it shouldn't impact much given that's almost three years away.

Personally I was so hyped for #1, then I played it, hated it. Bought #2 used for like $5 just to give it another shot, and nope, just as bad. So to me personally it really means nothing. Horrible bubble camera aiming. Terrible hitboxes. One kill rounds (I don't mind those sort of options like every FPS/TPS have, but also have the bigger ones where you die and spawn a couple of seconds later for a 20 minute match). Gears of War franchise was literally my biggest disappointment of last gen. So yeah, good luck reinvigorating it Microsoft.
