Abriael3730d ago

ok that's the randomest list of games I ever saw. But I guess they work for testing :D

DarkLordMalik3730d ago

They most likely choose games from different genres for testing purpose. Disgaea is there but sadly no JRPG in sight.

xXBlondieVanHarlowXx3730d ago

Daaaayum!!! It's a shame i own everyone of those games & have played them to death >_<

NOT complaining though! Happy to be chosen as a beta tester :D

minimur123730d ago

@xXblondie

Hey buddy.....

Can I have your PSN name, email address and password being as we're such good friends?

I can?!?!? thanks so much!

FamilyGuy3730d ago

First Party:

Killzone 3
Puppeteer
Shadow of the Colossus

Third Party:

Papo & Yo
Darksiders II
MX vs. ATV: Alive
Disgaea 4
Ninja Gaiden 3
Shatter

Dammit, I was hoping I'd get to try out some games that I don't own and am interested in already.

I but Shatter he day it came out all those years ago, I just bought Puppeteer (lol), I got Shadow of the Colossus through PS+

Ninja Gaidan 3, Killzone 3 and Darksiders 2 are all good but damn.

erathaol3730d ago

Very much a mixed bag of games, 'Shadow of the Colossus' is always a threat.

MightyNoX3729d ago

I agree. It does sound like each game was selected to test a different facet. If Ninja Gaiden 3 maintains a consistent fps, I'm there day one.

Eonjay3729d ago

@DarkLord

I agree. Plus they want to show that the library has diversity. Not just Sony's games. Mission complete.

Kryptix3729d ago

For testing purposes and the variety will get more people hopeful that PS Now will offer not just of a few genres, meaning that there will be subscriptions from all kinds of people looking forward to games they want to play.

I signed up for the beta and I can't wait to try it out. It reminds me of PS Plus with the games it offers but much more and instant.

Gamingcapacity3730d ago

Does the author realise that they aren't going to put up the entire Playstation Now library for beta testing? Written like they don't.

Riderz13373730d ago (Edited 3730d ago )

They don't know what the word "Beta" means ^^.

Like when you play a multiplayer games beta and you only get one map and a certain number of weapons.

static52453730d ago

Dat shadow of the colossus

Prime1573730d ago

Yeah, in terms of testing you have a good amount of diversity.

Back-to-Back3729d ago

I might get hate for saying this but I think a cod game would a great way to test lag(even though all their games of recent have sucked). COD is all about fast paced action and we would able to see how bad the input lag is if it even exists.

Azmatik3729d ago

Meh thats y killzone is there

nukeitall3729d ago

Lag will be crappy regardless. A very fast and top of the line connection has 33ms round trip. What do you think will happen to the vanilla connection?

People complained about the Xbox One HDMI inpug lag, imagine what the unpredictable internet will do!

3-4-53729d ago

It's like a "one of each" type of list.

Nero13143730d ago

No last of us . Kinda bombed my excitement

Riderz13373730d ago

Why lol? If these games work well then TLOU should work well with PlayStation Now...Unless of course you were waiting for PlayStation Now to play TLOU, in which case I suggest you get a PS3.

Kivespussi3730d ago

This is a BETA. There will be TLOU in PS now. I'm pretty sure of it. And I don't think sony would add TLOU in this beta because that's basically giving away free copies of TLOU as beta testers are not paying for it

LKHGFDSA3730d ago

off topic, but I wish they'd do a remastered TLOU rather than an emulated port.

GentlemenRUs3730d ago (Edited 3730d ago )

@LKHGFDSA
Umm, It's not emulated but streamed via a PS3 located in a server building.

Kryptix3729d ago

The Last of Us and God of War: Ascension aren't there because this is a beta. I believe those 2 games have already been tested and proven to work, that's why they showed them in the presentation. These games are to test the other genres for future games. You have a first person shooter, RPGs, racing, very quick hack and slash, etc.

I'm sure once it officially launches, we'll see all of the games tested and shown plus much more. I know PS2 and PS1 will work perfectly with PS Now.

princejb1343730d ago

Only for ps3 users?
How about us launch day ps4 users?
Would really like to play puppeteer on my ps4

SoundGamer3730d ago

This is just a closed beta. PlayStation Now will first launch on PS4 and PS3 in North America this Summer. Later, the PS Vita, certain mobile devices, and Bravia TVs will be included.

princejb1343730d ago

Yea but it would be wise to test ps now on ps4 also. You know with ps3 and ps4 architecture been so different they might run into problems without testing with a lot of people

Rayansaki3730d ago (Edited 3730d ago )

@princejb134 streaming game content is not very hardware intensive, they should have absolutely no problem having it run on PS4. On the PS3 getting good performance might be a bit more tricky, hence the beta.

SoundGamer3729d ago

@princejb134 Of course it is going to be tested on the PS4 and every other device. They're doing that internally at SCE for now.

captainexplosion3730d ago

Surprising list. Its kind of weird that all 3 first party games have 3D support. I wonder how that will stream?

Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. Whether with their fantasy settings, the ability to climb mountains, or just with the overall same charm as Capcom’s iconic RPG. Here's a list of games that will hopefully scratch that Dragon's Dogma itch.

every gamer should play this game

gold_drake94d ago

cant wait for it, feb and march are busy busy months ha.

SovereignSnaKe94d ago

I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.

MrNinosan94d ago

I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.

DivineHand12594d ago

Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.

The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.

For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.

Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?

It's always refreshing to see games embracing the streaming community.
