Microsoft will release a cheaper Xbox One this year, a well-respected source has told VG247, apparently confirming this week’s leaks out of Redmond.
Waiting a decade for new instalments in franchises as massive as Fallout and Elder Scrolls feels like a waste.
Microsoft have Obsidian but I feel it's Bethesda who just don't want to play ball as they've always said they want to do it themselves.
Once MS bought Zenimax in 2020 they should have put the Outer Worlds 2 on the back burner, allow Bethesda to finish off its own Space RPG with Starfield (despite totally different tone why have two in your first party portfolio with two developers who's gameplay is a tad similar) and got Obsidian for one of their projects to make a spiritual successor to New Vegas.
When the Elder Scrolls VI is finished Bethesda can then onto the main numbered Fallout 5 themselves.
The Outer Worlds 2 started development in 2019 so putting it on the back burner wouldn't have been the end of the world, they'd have always come back to it once Fallout was done and it would have been nicely spaced out from Starfields release once they had most likely stopped supporting it and all the expansions were released.
If they did this back in 2020 when they bought Zenimax and the game had a good, steady 4 - 5 years development, you might have seen it release in 2025.
We are literally going to be waiting until 2030 at the very earliest for Fallout 5 and all they seem bothered about is pushing Fallout 76.
I disagree. Part of these games is the support for the mod community. If they move to releasing a "next game" every 2 or 3 years, the modding support plummets and the franchises turn into just another run of the mill RPG.
Make the games good enough to withstand the test of time, to keep people coming back to them and expanding on them with mod support.
Athenian Rhapsody is a JRPG with a difference: alongside turn-based combat & exploration, you'll need to complete WarioWare-style microgames.
Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.
Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.
Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.
The price cut would definitely help, but I think they won't profit if they cut the price to $400, they'd better release X1 w/o the shitty Kinect.
But really, a price cut would definitely fire up X1 sales.
Well now, that was quick enough. Just hope it's not gutted compared to original.
interesting but me personally am still not interested as I already own the better console which is the ps4
Its needed.. Doesn't matter how well people here say its selling, ms want it to sell more then 'well'
I guess we'll have to wait and see when and if this actually happens. As not to stunt sales, Ms will deny it unti it happens. Seems early to be talking about sales but in business you do what you must. In the grand scheme of things, we're the beneficiaries if the console many are complaining is too expensive, comes down in price if you wanted it of course...
Edit..... if sony said they'll drop the price lower than it already is, do you think those who don't own wouldn't be pleased? Like I said, its early but maybe ms want quicker sales and feel that sonys price is swaying potential custom away
How about a smaller sleeker redesign to go along with that price cut.
I would prefer Kinect removed than an optical drive. You can always pick up Kinect as an add-on.
