Metro LL was in my opinion a really good game. Different enemies with different approaches, sneaking parts, parts with the light and only getting nightvision later on, the battery and the airfilters + a pretty decent story with a likeable alien.

I haven't played either (ps4 guy), but I could see how someone could be disapointed with the direction Forza took (gimped economy/microtransactions). Yes I know they addressed these issues.

Dead Rising has always struck me as a series that you either enjoy or you don't. If you liked 1 and 2 you'll prolly like 3, if you didn't you wont. So I don't see how thats disappointing.

KI is good, but I don't care for the payment model so I only play with free Characters.

I didn't really care for Dead Rising 2 because of the story and characters, but they really nailed it in the 3rd one. Nice and gritty.

And Its too bad about Forza, there was a few people that didn't care for the track selection, but I like it.
If anything, the biggest disappointment of 2013 was the intrusion of MicroTransactions on consoles. Nobody wins with that nonsense.

I really never got into DR1 or 2, but DR3 is a really good gam IMO. I enjoyed Forza and KI. However I was disappointed with the 2013 Xbox 360 game line up. Not a lot of great exclusive for the 360 in it's closing years.

I was with this guy until I got to #1. I'm a ps4 guy, and I guess I didn't play any 360 exclusives last year, but I think its pretty unfair to characterize all of their games as disappointing.

I actually just beat it 2 days ago. I never got it when it was released due to many reviews. But I managed to snag it from Gamefly used for $13 (mint condition by the way with complete case, Gamefly is awesome)

Anyway, the combo system was cool. You got to cater them to the way You wanted to play. The soundtrack was awesome. And the Memory Remix sections were really neat, but there are only 4 in the game.

Beyond that, it was a beat em up game with a lot of Uncharted climbing. That doesn't make it bad, I enjoyed the whole game. But it did get a little repetitive. Go to a section, beat up guys, climb, go to another area, beat up guys, climb around, etc.

The story was fine, the whole idea was cool. Kind of got a little crazy at the end.

For what I paid, it was more then worth it, and I enjoyed it. Maybe those that paid full price might have felt a little let down.

But it, play it, enjoy.

ive had a gamefly account for the last 3 years & love it. I play every game on release day :) The blow out sales around Christmas time is where i get the gifts for all three of my nephews. My sister always tells me games are expensive how can you get them so many lol there damn cheap from gamefly!

In other words, I am a Sony/Nintendo fanboy (which is fine), but like many here, claim they also do or once did like MS to sound cool, before going on to mercilessly bashing them. Also he added this,

God of War Ascension was pretty good, but I think the developers only wanted to show off the PS3 graphics capabilities. Hell GODA looks better than most next gen titles I've played. But yeah GODA was all over the place with time jumping, couldn't finish got lost in the story.

I did finish the game, and Still don't know what the story was! And I hated the control changes they made, and the fact that they practically took away the Magic system.

Can't say I would agree, but I suppose I see the reasoning? Rather than the whole lineup being a disappointment, I'd say each game had aspects that were disappointing. Microtransactions and toned down graphics, poor framerates and floppy leg glitches. Each game had some things that could have been disappointing to someone, but that could be said about ANY game in ANY launch lineup, so..

And Deadpool? Deadpool was exactly what it needed to be. Sure it wasn't game changing in terms of mechanics and features but it was hilarious and some of the funniest scripts I've experienced in gaming.

Not every title is hoping to push every boundary in the industry. Some just attempt to deliver on something, and Deadpool did.

Mine was Gone Home. It seemed to be heralded by most as an awesome, emotional, and unique adventure ... and then I played it. At the end I threw up in my mouth realizing I had just wasted $10 and 80 minutes of my life on absolute garbage. It's like M. Night Shyamalan decided to do an adventure game. I wish I could delete it from my Steam list.

Let's see...games that disappointed me from 2013. Okay, I have a few.

SimCity: Need I say more? Well, I should anyway. I was very interested and eager to play this game. It has been a long time since I have played a Sim City game, but this one just killed it for me. Forced DRM without so much as a peep from EA that it was required to even play the game, no single player freedom, log in issues, server issues, and disappearing cities ruined this game for me. It's good when you actually access it, but accessing it was exactly the main problem.

God of War Ascension: That live action trailer had me hooked. It was impactful, emotional, and just so damn good. I was pumped to play it...but then I played it and the gameplay was just average. The magic was ineffective and the story needed more work. It even felt tedious at certain points.

Dead Space 3: Yes! Another EA game. While I love the other two Dead Space games, I absolutely despise the third installment. Completely removed of everything horror, Dead Space 3 was focused on more action and microtransactions. Pay to win was the goal and EA wanted you pay more. Pay for weapons and materials for crafting as opposed to the excellent store, four weapon slots, and rig upgrades you get and earn on your own. Thanks for ruining another great franchise, EA.

Batman Arkham Origins: While the gameplay was solid and the set up was intriguing, the story just fell short for me. Where a new villain can take center stage with a slew of DC rogues out to get Batman the opposite happened. Black Mask is flung aside as soon as you find out the plot twist and a a few of the assassins turn out to be throwaway side quests. The fight with Deathstroke was the best thing in the game.

Grand Theft Auto V: Now I know this might be a shocking choice for many people, but this game really dropped the ball with me for a lot of reasons. The story was haphazard and broken, some characters seemed pointless to be there, many side quests were not interesting, flying sucked, getting a car collection was nigh impossible without spending a lot of money, keeping cars in garages was a pain because of the disappearing car glitch, GTA online needs work, customization for the characters was lacking, and the properties didn't give me any incentive to get them. I think it was very overrated and a far cry from the glory days of GTA with the likes of Vice City and San Andreas. Sorry, but I didn't like it.

1. GOW Ascension was the biggest disappointment.
2. Killzone SF looks incredible and plays smooth but was missing too much of the obvious. Those who played it know exactly what I am talking about.
3. Contrast another game that was very interesting but was so damn glitchy that you literally couldn't play it.
4. The Last of Us. This one was my fault because instead of just playing it right away, I listened to people's opinion and went into it expecting something that didn't happen. In the end I was left unsatisfied, but now when I think back on it, it was a great game.
