Top Five PlayStation Games I'm Looking Forward In 2014

2014 has just started and there are a lot of games due out this year for both next-gen and current-gen consoles. Some are continuations in franchises/licensed material and some are brand new IP’s. These are the five games VGUtv's Allan Muir is looking forward to in 2014 in no particular order.

MGS V:Ground Zeros, InFamous:Second Son, Watch Dogs & DriveClub..those are the games that I'm looking forward this year

PS4 is getting a free pass. For a console that was said to be all about games, there are no f*cken games. And I can't think of any comming soon except infamous which I'm only mildley hyped about.

Seriously the worst launch in gen history in my opinion.

Joey_Leone3746d ago (Edited 3746d ago )

Chill, there are plenty of games out right now for the ps4.
Killzone, battlefield, knack, i can go on. You also get a bunch of free games from ps+ Resogun, blacklight retribution (awesome game), contrast, dont starve and soon drive club. Ps3s launch line up also wasnt really that impressive but look what happened. Be patient, think someone needs to go outside.

mewhy323746d ago

Im pretty excited about The Order. I think that'll be awesome. I wish The Division was on that list.

DigitalRaptor3746d ago

Well, that's your fault you're not hyped for them. PS3 launch was way worse.

And no games? http://i.imgur.com/KVX6jb4....

The diversity is unparalleled. If we all knew the PS4 games Sony and third parties have under wraps, this discussion would be completely different.

Look at the 360 launch lineup. That thing was a disaster when a port of Call of Duty 2 was your best game for a year until Gears of War came. I remember 2006, it was boring year for the 360. I bought it in March and played the waiting game until Gears. Its funny that the shooterbox for jocks and bros launched without a shooter. But like the 360, the not-the-One will blow its load early while in 6 years the PS4 will still be pumping out GOTY quality titles.

InFamous is the only one I'm looking forward to. I may play MGS:V/Ground Zeroes but there's not much I'm looking forward to until KH3 or XV are dated.

Gamer-403746d ago (Edited 3746d ago )

The Order: 1886.
End.

MLB 14: The Show? Who cares?
Dragon Age: Inquisition multi.
Watch_Dogs multi.

The Witcher 3 no top 2014 PS4 game? But MLB 14: The Show yes. Interesting and lol.

bleedsoe9mm3746d ago (Edited 3746d ago )

do we know if the order is coming in 2014 ?

@DigitalRaptor i'll believe it when we get a release date until then i'm not counting on playing it this year

DigitalRaptor3746d ago (Edited 3746d ago )

Yep: http://uk.ign.com/articles/...

It's been in production since around the time GOW: Ghost of Sparta went gold (late 2010). That's plenty of production time (almost 4 years) for a story-based third-person action/shooter/fantasy game.

Hicken3746d ago

I care about The Show. Plenty of people do every year. And with no 2K releasing this year, more people than ever may care.

The article says "PlayStation games," games on PlayStation consoles. It does not say "PlayStation exclusives," so multiplats are allowed. And since they're likely to play better than their XB1 counterparts...

Above all, this is one person's opinion, and detailed as such in the title. "Top Five PlayStation Games I'M Looking Forward [to] in 2014." Meaning he has no interest in The Witcher 3.

Is that a problem? Is it bad if a baseball fan is looking forward to a baseball game more than a rugby match when he doesn't care for the sport?

Naive people think that there aren't many games out for the PS4 right now let alone coming in the future. Xbox One also has a decent number of games on it right now but not as many as PS4 and i'm sure it will have a decent line-up this year as well but, i reckon more PS4 games will come out this year because of how many first party devs they have.

GreatnessAwaits3746d ago

The Order 1886
InFamous Second Son
Rime
Hotline Miami 2
Hopefully The Last Guardian
There is still a lit of unannounced games for Sony. All the Xbox fanbiys think they have games. What do you expect ? They ain't used to having exclusives so the few that they do get they praise them like God.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

100%, locked 60fps and still look great all these years later, same with the expansion, definitely worth a look if people haven't played it yet, not the best games ever made but a good experience, hopefully a new infamous gets released

KwietStorm_BLM103d ago

Never was my favorite infamous, but it was definitely a graphics showcase early on PS4. Still plays well with the unlocked frame rate.

SDuck102d ago

Still remember getting hyped about this game nearing release. Funny because I never even got a PS4. Jumped from PS3 to PC so I never played it ahahaha

OmegaSoldati102d ago

Its a good game. But thats it. Congratulations you made the best choice. I dream to have a great PC one day.

Profchaos102d ago (Edited 102d ago )

Graphically It's a absolutely stunning game that still holds up today.

Didn't have all that much depth to it forcing you to play though twice for a platinum trophy a good and bad run it was a little disappointing how similar those were Delsin would be like I'm not doing that for you in a cutscene but the cutscene would play out and force you to do it anyway just as you would of in a good run

I did like the story however it got a lot of complaints back in the day people hated playing as Delsin instead of cole despite Coles story being wrapped up.

Overall though the map wasn't overly saturated with useless points of interest there was some collectibles and things to find but nothing compared to a Ubisoft game.

I think it was a good game if a little hollow I've played it through around 4 times now since it's so short.

Also it's DLC was great a full story expansion

I've played 15, and I wouldn't consider any of those underrated TBH. Some of them are pretty high rated.

banger88134d ago

That's amazing, Gamingbolt actually put all 15 games on the same page.

shinoff2183133d ago

I. Not seeing anything on that list underrated. I never played concrete genie, the ASTRO vr,and one other but I forgot the name already. Nothing on there was underrated at all imo.

persona4chie133d ago

There’s only 4 of those games I never played, and no most of those aren’t underrated.
