Xbox One Weekly Deals: Thief Preorder $49.99, Dead Rising 3 / Forza 5 / Ryse $39.99 each and more

Xbox One weekly deals at Amazon, Newegg, Frys, Best Buy & Target

xNomaD3748d ago

Might not be able to wait on a price drop, these deals are too good to pass up. I'll just set the games aside until I get the Xbox One. Ryse and Forza look beast.

Xbox One exclusive games for $40 !!
Time to get Dead Rising 3.

hduce3748d ago (Edited 3748d ago )

You can get them at a even lower price if you get them at Best Buy and have the Gamer's Club Unlocked.

suicidalblues3748d ago

Dead rising 3 is awesome. It may not have some of the wow factor that other launch games have, but if you play games for fun this one won't let you down.

osamede13748d ago

you don't own an xbox one so why comment?

jacobvogel3748d ago

Microsoft should consider selling the console for $400 without kinect.

xNomaD3748d ago

That would be great, I would pry pull the trigger and grab one if they did.

christocolus3748d ago (Edited 3748d ago )

I know there will be a price drop very soon,i think they are working on that and will announce something soon but i would rather they keep kinect and find some other way to reduce the price. I enjoy using the device alot and i know most of my friends do too.

JohnnyTower3748d ago (Edited 3748d ago )

I cannot see that happening. The timing is terrible, x1 is selling well enough, and the ms 180 was only 7-8 months back and still fresh. A year or so after launch? Maybe a kinectless x1. Sony is doing well, but ms isn't circling the drain just yet. It would have to get to dreamcast-esque failure before ms would push an x1 with no kinect so soon after launch.

ifistbrowni3748d ago (Edited 3748d ago )

yeah. Pretty sure selling 3 million + 1 (just bought mine two weeks ago) consoles isn't pressuring them into doing a price cut so soon. The console is doing more than okay. Sorry, keep dreaming.

Kinect is my favorite part about the console so far. I was anti-kinect up until a week after a bought the console and thought, "i'll give it a try." Haven't unplugged it since and don't ever plan to. X1 without a kinect would be a ps4 minus the graphics. Why want an XBOX 1, then?

I'm sure ill get trolled over the graphics part, but so far the games i've played on both look far better on my ps4 (ghosts and battlefield 4). Still, though. Both consoles are great. I just dont get the kinect-less people. Its like a "dont knock it til you try it" thing. Which, i was guilty of.

@ifistbrowni

Not to burst your bubble and not that I 100 percent agree with christocolus and jacobvogel, but it's all about perspective.

Numbers are less important in this scenario, at least, Microsoft's own numbers. It's the fact that Sony is outdoing them sales-wise on their home turf that should be concerning to them, as the US is where Micro had any real strength. The sales they had overseas were supported (as well as in the US) by the year difference in release dates. That doesn't exist this time around AND they are at the higher pricepoint to boot, it is doubtful they will have anywhere NEAR the impact they had when they ran "unopposed" and at a cheaper price.

Just my analysis, nothing to do with whether I like or dislike a machine.

Your thoughts?

JohnnyTower3748d ago

Not sure if I wanna pull the trigger on Thief preorder. I would love some reviews on it.

TheXgamerLive3748d ago

Thief - Taken From Us Too Soon

The Thief game series has had many ups-and-downs, and 2014's reboot showed a great deal of promise nearly a decade ago.

Notellin264d ago

This would be such a great franchise to reboot. A darker game than Dishonored, but focused around stealth and large scale heists from an oppressive monarchy.

That's probably my dream game. I love immersive sims and stealth!

Noskypeno264d ago

People say they hate forced stealth sections in games. But a game focused on stealth with good mechanics and level design feels refreshing from the guns blazing games which I also enjoy. I really enjoyed playing Splinter cell, a game that not many try to mimic today. Not too many games let you shoot lights out, or throw cans or bottles to distract guards. Sure there are games with stealth options like the new Wolfenstein but it doesn't feel necessary to play it that way. Hitman might be the only game that has that feeling, except for that Korean game that may or may not ever come out.

isarai264d ago

You should try the Sniper Elite games, so good, especially with coop

Notellin263d ago

Same here. I'm glad there are some other people who enjoy these types of games!

@isarai I tried Sniper Elite 5 and ended up really enjoying that one. Went back and played 4 as well!.

ModsDoBetter264d ago (Edited 264d ago )

The last one was a trainwreck and has been in the bargain bin since just after launch. If they bring it back, they need a massive change in direction.

Inverno264d ago

only direction they should take is putting it in reverse and going back to what the originals did. I couldn't finish this game, and I made a choice to never play it again. I watched a video about the og Thief and Deus Ex games and the current AAA standard will forever hold back these games. These 2 games alone had already solved so many problems with modern gaming that I don't think they'll get a chance at something great unless they're made by a dev that actually give a damn.

monkey602264d ago

Jesus the last installment sells at about 2 euro and even that is over paying for it. Absolutely diabolical game

SimpleSlave264d ago

Ups and Down? More like Up, UP, Pot Hole, Free Fall into the Abyss...

Thief Deadly Shadows remaster would be awesome.

Shadow of Rome was so freaking good

Sashamaz362d ago

I'm still waiting for the sequel.

HyperMoused362d ago

Ryse was awesome, i have no idea why it wasnt recieved well and why we havnt seen another, Rome conquered so much, you could take the action anywhere, and it looked great when xbox one came out, now would be even better.
