Doubt this will grab the same attention as the first article.

The silly thing is, the original article wasn't telling us anything that we didn't know a couple of years ago - that the early Wii U dev kits were pretty atrocious and Nintendo struggled to meet the launch deadline with software. Why it's being considered news-worthy and published on numerous gaming "news" sites beggars belief.

I get the impression that the developer in the article had only ever worked with "mature" dev kits before and a little overwhelmed when faced with the prospect of developing for a console that was still being finalised.

Yep, the Ping developer isn't sticking up for the dev kit because they're talking about two different things. The Eurogamer article was about pre-launch hardware and the struggles in dealing with the lower power of the Wii U CPU as well as dealing with Nintendo's horrible support for third parties.

Christopher Arnold is talking about what it's like now, which is much different. But the fact that third parties are not supporting the Wii U, and modern gaming engines are not being released for the Wii U does point in the direction that the article was pretty spot on.

Man, I just don't get why so many people are banding together to run smear campaigns against Nintendo. Nintendo still releases full non buggy games, and they have done more for the industry than any other company, and yet it's become popular to berate anything they make, and anyone who enjoys their top notch products. There is waaaaaaay too much hate and ignorance in the community this days and it's truly sickening.

Bubble up for Stragomccloud. You sir, are a credit to gaming.

For a console that has zero DRM and is backward compatible with zero microtransactions, it's pretty hated and I still have no clue why... I don't have a Wii U (yet) but it seems gamer friendly and I would have thought It would be championed for being so open... very strange.

I think it's better to leave games like AC: Amiibo Festival and Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash forgotten on the Wii U. Best case, they are mediocre games; worse case, they are very bad. It was a dark time for the Wii U, and the first only exists to sell Amiibo cards, whereas the second was put together in a couple of months with a shoestring budget, and it shows.

The rest of the list does have some really cool games, though. I would love to see a remake of Star Fox Zero with decent controls, and Xenoblade X doesn't require that much modification to work.

How would XCX work without dual screens functionality?

Same as Paper Mario color splash. One of the best wiiu games and getting even better with dual screen. Same reason why i prefer Splatoon 1

This article leaves out Nintendo's most controversial game to date devils Third.
I personally found the cover system really fun in that one compared to at the time most fps games completely lacking one.

Devil's Third is HIGHLY underrated.

They should remake Starfox to the switch 2. Very beautiful game during gamecube days.

Kirby is always ignored or forgotten by people, so good to see it mentioned here.
Play Kirby Canvas Curse on DS, and then play Rainbow Curse on Wii U, they're really fun and unique 'platformers' without any actual jumping.
