Latest Battlefield 4 Premium-Only Double XP Event Postponed

Those who shelled out the extra cash to pick up the Premium membership for Battlefield 4 are in for a bit of a bad news.

The Premium Double XP event that was initially set to go live on December 29 has apparently been postponed until a later date, according to a message that appears on the Battlelog. It reads the following:

“THE END OF DECEMBER 2XP EVENT FOR PREMIUM MEMBERS HAS BEEN POSTPONED AND WILL BE RUN AT A LATER DATE. STAY TUNED FOR MORE INFORMATION. WE APOLOGIZE FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.”

Can I have my weekend back, on Battlefield facebook they indicated it was Double XP so I played all weekend.

Some people really need to chill out, it's double xp FFS! a few extra points each game.

Yes I've paid £40 for premium and not going to bang on about the usual trash talk of I've paid for something and "not receiving" what I paid for.

I spent 50 bucks on premium and still can't even get into a match to try out either of the two expansions on Xbox One. I can't use server browser to specifically pick these expansions either which is a pain.

I can use the browser but it won't find any servers if I use any of the filters even if I just click conquest but if I leave it alone it'll show matches. This game could've been great but in all honesty as of now cod is a better experience.... And that's sad. I wish some of these devs would stand up to the publishers and stop releasing before the game is playable. The last time I saw mp this messed up was gears 2 for me, oh and that Socom game on the ps3. I forgot the name of it but it had some of the best sounds for a shooter at the time.

What a mess. I was looking forward to the opportunity to jump ahead a few levels. If they have to postpone the event, I'd mind less if they told us why. But as usual, we face the corporate wall of silence.

For those who ask why we care, the opportunity to speed up progression is productive - it saves us time in our attempt to unlock skins, weapons, and so forth. Further, that we paid for Premium does not mean that DICE/EA have to do everything on time. But we have paid - so explain the situation to us. Don't hit us with a blank wall. And further, this is hardly an isolated incident - we have paid for a game that *consistently* doesn't work properly and has postponed events.

Also, remember at the beginning of December they took away the Gold Battlepack premium members were supposed to get, and then they decided that "oh we actually got that gold battleback on Nov 29th...." Yea, but BOTH battlepacks were on the premium calendar originally so most of us expected BOTH to be available to us.

I'm sorry, I love battlefield and bf4 is an awesome game (playing on ps3 and it works fine with the exception of minor bugs and some lag), but EA has absolutely ruined this game with their obsession with outselling Call of Duty. At this point, Premium members PAYED FOR CONTENT THAT WE ARE NOT GETTING. If I walk into a store and take an EA published game off the shelf and walk out without paying, what does EA call that??? But they can guarantee us extra Premium content for a price, but when we fork over the cash, we get half of what we were offered.... shady, shady, shady, SHADY stuff, EA.
