Your favourite video game music/tune & why?

What makes good video game music? Its different to all people, to me good video game music is about Nostalgia and emotion. If the music/theme brings out emotions then that's what I consider good. The last I made an article like this was 1 year ago. This is an improved version.

Here are my top 10 favourite and the reason why, I also like giving stats and ratings to everything:

Honourable mentions:

-Chrono Trigger frogs theme, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Chrono Trigger wind theme, https://www.youtube.com/wat...
-Ryu Hayabusa theme Ninja Gaiden , http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Assassins Creed - Brotherhood escapes, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Skyrim theme @ 30 secs, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Megaman theme, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Vamo Alla Flamengo FF9, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Terras theme FF6, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-One winged Angel FF7, http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-Place I'll return to some day FF9 , http://www.youtube.com/watc...
-The price of freedom, http://www.youtube.com/watc...

Reason: It sounds good, it develops over time. Reminds me of Mexico and Mexican culture for some reason. It feels soothing. Suits the desert theme it was placed in. Lively trading environment in the desrt is what I can imagine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8GRDNU50b8 , with 1.5 million views

Reason: Very classical, brings out a sad emotion :( . However this song was never meant to be sad. I can imagine the person palying this on a Piano with their eyes closed and with a deep breath. To show this tune is powerful, and indeed I thought it was. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACFYaHyWrMQ

Reason: Brings out a sad emotion, the theme and the scene when it played in the game makes it all that better. You will have to see the video yourself of when it is played. A pearl bounces in the video from one stair step to another and each bounce of the pearl synchronized with the music. This synchronization and the fact that the pearl was falling down the steps and into the water made it feel like you just lost someone important...

Reason: In the scene when the music plays, the scene is pumped you with action & urgency. This gets your adrenaline running, the tune does its job well. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_HxjU8TolU#t=46 (skip to 50 secs, that is where it starts)

Reason: Very sad song, brings out themes such as- you cannot trust nobody? Your all alone, very much suits the loner theme it was placed into http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUrC5R30Ofk

Reason: very grand, seems like a Hanz Zimmer tune, on the same scale as the Pirates of the Caribbean’s theme, it seems rich and expensive and sounds great to. Brings out emotions such as friendship and hope. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZVAvHah9io , with 2.2 million views

Reason: This song just sounds very nice. It starts off slow and builds up slowly. Like the Kingdom Hearts tune this one feels grand/rich/expensive. When I imagine this tune, I imagine time running out and the main character fighting his way through bad guys. To be honest I didn't think a game like Halo would have a tune this good so its surprised me and and that's one of the reasons its memorable to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=om0M6Ol8FjQ#t=29 , with 5.2 million views

Reason: Sounds great, lots of nostalgia for me in this tune. This song very much a war theme, tragedy, adrenaline, hope, time running out, suspense, escaping, death of a soldier, all these themes I can feel in this tune and it very much suits Metal Gear Solid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=kkX39ayb81M#t=46s

Reason: Sounds amazing. That’s all there is to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yz3RF4AcY7s#t=54 (go to 54 secs)

This song reminds me of the entire story of FF10. FF10 was my first FF game, I loved the story and it was very emotional. Actually the ending of FF10 made me quite sad and this song reminds me of all hardship that the party/characters in FF10 went through. The Main character Tidus wanted to visit his homeland, Zarnakand. He couldn't wait to get there...but when he got there all he found was death and ruin, then this song plays in the right time. The city of lights was turned to dust. Imagine a nuclear bomb being dropped on an active city like Los Angeles. The song sums up the scale of the disaster, the tragedy and the loss of life. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-0G_FI61a8

Every finalfantasy song made lol, "to zarnakand" has sooooo much emotion behind it and every time i hear the song which is often because it is on my phone i always feel emotions from it and remember when tidus is doing the narrative about it being his story, i have goose bumps thinking about it lol, the "eyes on me" song from final fantasy 8 holds a special place for me as well. But yeh every finalfantasy song i love.

So glad there's final fantasy love here. Nobuo Uematsu composed some absolutely genius scores for those games. When I think video game music, I have to think final fantasy.

So I guess you like the FF series? Just kidding, there is some good stuff posted here- For me though I love the stuff from DK country ie Underwater Ambiance (of course), Gerudo theme, I also really like the main title theme to FF 13, The Promise. The Kingdom of Ixa'taka from Skies of Arcadia too. I could go on but those where the ones that immediately came to my head.

Review - The Epyx Collection: Handheld (Switch) | WayTooManyGames

WTMG's Leo Faria: "I’m not going to say that The Epyx Collection: Handheld is an easy recommendation, but it’s a fantastic opportunity for retro gaming enthusiasts to experience a few hidden gems which had previously only been available on a very obscure, but very underrated portable system. You may think this collection is a waste of time because nobody (aside from me and half a dozen other weirdos) owned a Lynx back in the day, but games like Gates of Zendocon and Blue Lightning are still amazing, more than 35 years later. Absolute classics aren’t the only games that deserve a second chance and preservation on modern systems. Obscure titles you had never even heard of before also deserve some love, and this collection delivers on this aspect."

Indies have been great over the years.
