GamesBeat's Mike Minotti: Originally, I was ready to crown GamesBeat’s best system of the year all by myself. Then my boss politely reminded me that we should probably do a staff vote for that sort of thing. So vote we did, choosing our favorite game-playing device from an extensive list. Hell, we even considered the Ouya! I mean, no one actually voted for it, but we considered it.
Sony has patented to add multiple dialogue modes to let players switch between how many conversations with NPCs they want in the game.
Sony is like the only ones outta the 3 that has atuff like like this pop up changing thing in ways.
If you were a 90s kid excited about Nintendo’s upcoming N64 console, you likely read something somewhere about the Nintendo 64 Disk Drive, also known as the 64DD or DD64.
Genuine Enabling Technology was seeking damages, claiming the tech allowing PlayStation consoles and controllers to communicate infringes its rights.
Sounds like patent trolling they tried the same thing against Nintendo with the same pattern.
Motion and control input traversing over higher and lower frequencies seperate from each other allowing the controller to do both
So to recoup the money Genuine is going to take on Nintendo or Microsoft next. I hate patent lawyers they are some of the worst bottom feeders out there.
"2013 saw the launch of PlayStation 3′s successor, but the old, curvey console proved supreme. The PS3 started the year off with the release of the colorful and epic Japanese role-playing game Ni no Kuni in January, and it just marched through 2013 with a steady stream of quality exclusives, including developer Naughty Dog’s survival-action game The Last of Us and the racing simulator Gran Turismo 6. Other notable exclusives included the 2D platformer Puppeteer, the bloody, action-filled God of War: Ascension, and the baseball simulator MLB 13 The Show."
I agree. Still haven't gotten all of these, but I plan too. After I finish NNK. PS3 has had a very strong year.
More Playstation domination. I expect it to continue going into next gen.
Greatness Awaits!!! Sony FTW!!!
PS3 was a beast this year.
Definitely PS3! :) Amazing year.
