really weak discounts, half of the games were already in the last SteamSale and before, then there are crappy indie games and then there are games people could get for better a price with the Humble Bundles.

Lon3wolf3772d ago

What were you specifically expecting in the Steam sale? I have already picked up a few titles (2 of which were definitely not in the last sale) so far. You could always use the suggestion field on the Sale page if you are after something specific too.

Hard to beat previous steam sale when theres been practically no releases since as its near christmas and we get no major game releases in december and end november. Since we got a steam sale november already they wern't gonna get better offers just more of them. Still consoles won't ever get near these kind of deals and with sites like greenman gaming trying to beat them its totally win win for gamers.

AllroundGamer3772d ago

i think it's hard to beat HumbleBundles, best price for so many good games.

AllroundGamer3772d ago

oh and i forgot, consoles get definitely great deals, as a PS+ member i get plenty great games (like around 30 per year) for 50Euros.

Moncole3772d ago

It sucks so much PC gamers get amazing sales so we already own all the games when they go on sale again.

jdktech20103772d ago

I'm thinking I'll get the Wolf Among Us and start getting into the telltale games mindset. Other than that, nothing for me at all this sale

LAWSON723772d ago

Darksiders 2 needs to be $5, but the game is for some reason still $50 originally on STeam so I dont think it will happen considering that would be like a 90%+ discount

Moncole3772d ago

It was once part of a Humble Bundle.

AllroundGamer3772d ago

yep, got that one for maybe 1$ :)

LAWSON723772d ago

Yeah I know, it was apart of the $4-5 bundle, and I only got the $1 bundle and I regret it lol

JasonXS123772d ago

I can't believe people are complaining about deals.

Einhert3772d ago

There has been a lack of releases on PC in the last quarter of this year so most of the must have games have already been on sale.

Still though I picked up the Orange Box, Brothers a Tale of Two Sons and The Wolf Among Us.

Not a bad scoop for me and I have a big backlog to get through, the people having a whinge about the sales are just entitled.

LAWSON723772d ago (Edited 3772d ago )

Referring to me I do not think I am entitled, just disappointed the game cant be on sale for more than $10 because they can mark down regular price after a year and a half (?). I think it has something to do with THQ but oh well maybe next year

It's A Crime That There's No Sleeping Dogs 2 Yet

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."

LG_Fox_Brazil4d ago

I agree, I consider the first one a cult classic already

isarai4d ago

You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is

CrimsonWing693d ago

That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.

solideagle3d ago

Majority of the time it's true but if a company/publisher is big (in terms of money), they can take a hit or 2. e.g. I am not worried about Rebirth sales as Square will make Remake 3 anyway but if FF 17 doesn't sell then Square might need to look for alternative. <-- my humble opinion

Abnor_Mal3d ago

Doesn’t Microsoft own the IP now since they acquired Activision?

DaReapa3d ago

No. Square Enix owns the IP.

Abnor_Mal3d ago

Oh okay, Activision owned True Crime, but when that didn’t sell as intended it was canceled. Six months later Square Enix bought the rights and changed the title to Sleeping Dogs.*

*As per Wikipedia

Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.

watching the video is better then going through 31 pages of gamingbolt.

LG_Fox_Brazil150d ago

Do they explain in the video why there are two numbers 3? Starfield and Tears of the Kingdom?

It's always refreshing to see games embracing the streaming community.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown - A Welcome Rebirth

XCOM: Enemy Unknown rebooted the series back in 2012, and has since inspired numerous new strategy game series to be born.

shinoff2183174d ago (Edited 174d ago )

If someone gets into this I'd recommend getting the enemy within version. It's got all the dlc included so it's the better version. Wish the author would've atleast mentioned it. I didn't see it.

Fantastic game though. Xcom 2 is top notch also. I've spent countless hours in these games.

ModsDoBetter173d ago

Excellent game.
Played to death on PS3 years ago.

S2Killinit173d ago

What other games were inspired by this game?

JL2930173d ago

Gears Of War Tactics, Phoenix Point. Many others.

shinoff2183172d ago

Phoenix point if I remember was created by the original xcom developer or something to that affect. I did try gears tactics some months ago and I just couldn't get into it. It's probably just me

JL2930172d ago (Edited 172d ago )

It was, but it was really closer to the newer XCOM than the older ones. Gears Tactics was okay but was hard to get into knowing there probably wont be a sequel.
