Game of the Year 2013: The Top Ten

GodisaGeek: "It’s been a strange year, really. Normally with two new consoles being released, you’d assume the stellar titles we’d get every year would dry up. But no, instead, this has – yet again – been one of the very best years for gaming.

An absolute wealth of stunning, immersive titles have been in and out of our disc trays and download queues, reminding us (as always) that there’s never been a better time to be a gamer."

I would pick The Last of Us. On another note, I don't agree with Gamespot's GOTY. I actually have Zelda Link between Worlds and it just didn't feel special at all. The over-world is too small compared to how it felt in Link to the past. The game was also way too easy (Hint glasses) and the story was too predictable to a certain degree. I also felt unsatisfied with the "rental" system since it took the joy out of getting cool items. Graphics were also pretty subpar and looked pretty stretched out on my 3DS XL. Overall 6-7/10 for me. The Last of Us, despite it's game bugs is still one of the best story-driven games I've played on my PS3 and gaming consoles altogether. The ending was also pretty wtf.

So yeah... Last of Us. GOTY. My choice.

More interested in money than giving fans what they want. Such a shame

With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.

I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.

Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder

This makes me sad. Trevor was one of my favourite characters in gaming

One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
