The Last Of Us On PS4 – Would You Buy It?

Recently, rumors have been spreading of a PlayStation 4 edition of the game. Hopes were raised and soon quashed when it turned out to be a hoax / lie. But wouldn't the re – release of such an important game in the PlayStation catalogue be a boon for the newly released console?

I have so many games to play and am kicking myself for not picking this up. I love ND and the INCREDIBLE worlds they create. Not to mention all their products are the highest quality....

I ran into the "too many games to play" issue this season. Arkham and GTA are 2 of my favorite series....you guys could imagine what this year was like for me. So I didn't get to TLOU. I also bought a PS4 and am dying to play something on it in the worst way. I mean a REAL game too. Not BF4 or some rehash of a game that has "fish AI" and makes you pay for Wolf Skins.

To make a short story long...Yes, I would LOVE to buy this for my PS4.

I can only suggest you take some time off work, get a decent sound system, close all the curtains and crank up the volume. You are in for a helluva treat.

It's genuinely one of those games I wish I could forget I ever played, just to experience it again.

I own it on PS3 and i would buy it for PS4 in a heartbeat. For the upgraded visuals (mmmmm 1080p 60fps TLOU) and because i would want to show my support (again) to a videogame company that puts as much care, love and attention into their games as ND did with TLOU...(watch the making of The Last Of Us documentary and you will see what i mean).

I wouldn't, because I have it on PS3 and frankly, it's good enough. An increase in resolution wouldn't make enough difference. They'd have to add a whole lot more textures, animations, etc. to make a PS4 version interesting, and no way they'd bother doing that just for a port.

I have a PS3 and played it on that PS3 and still have it installed on my HD and I would still buy another copy for my PS4.

There is WAY more replay value to Grand Theft Auto than TLOU. The replay value is what would attract me to games I have already beaten.

@garos to each there own. Sneaking past dudes or stabbing them in the neck is great the first time through. I like the variety in GTA and that is what keeps me coming back. I don't really play much of either game online though.

@Johnny disagree.I've had both titles at launch buttlou multiplayer keeps me coming back more than gta 5.and I played it again the other day even though I've yet to finish kz:sf.I've barely started playing the multiplayer for that yet

@garos82, I just tried the multiplayer for TLoU for the first time myself recently. Holy hell...it's awesome. Didn't know what I was missing. Love how lone wolves get obliterated.

Eh GTA5 is good for the story and side missions but once u get past that and try out the online its really nothing amazing (the online i mean). Multiplayer is just flat and boring in my opinion.

Now The Last of Us oh man. That multiplayer has me hooked like a crack addict. Its so different than other games. Teamwork is everything in this game. No running and gunning in this gem. Keep that in cod. Instead u have to stick to ur squad or pretty much get ur ass kicked

I think it would be good for those who've been swayed from the Xbox camp and never really experienced PS exclusives before. I doubt most who have played it would play it again, unless there's some fairly expansive new content and perhaps alternate endings.

To give people who have yet to play it/ don't own a PS3 a chance of experiencing it maybe? Some people might only own a PS4. So to those people it makes perfect sense. But i guess because YOU have "beated" it then they shouldn't release it /s.

I usually don't like re-releases, but in the case of a new console, it's a good way to pass the time before the originals titles arrives. I will buy it.

The game ran 100% flawlessly to me and I don't need graphics ANY better than TLOU's, so I don't see anything that a much more powerful machine could do to improve the already great experience had on PS3.

The would add it to the trade up program. I would trade up and pay $10 for the PS4 version. Depending on what came with it (all DLC plus updated remaster visuals) I might.

I envision something along the lines of tomb raider for the ps4 (definitive edition). They will make sure to make as much money as possible on the ps3 version before announcing it for next gen

If you haven't played it I would say yes but ps3 graphs were so amazing already and I don't see how you can make that game better. Sure it would be smoother maybe a bit more graphically advanced but ps3 version is amazing.

I would imagine the ps4 edition to have infected in multiplayer, and or horde mode. 1080p 60 fps. And add on dlc.

I just ordered it from Amazon last night for $35. I have never bought a next gen remake of game, I'd rather spend money on something new altogether rather than a prettier version of a game I already played.

I have no doubt Sony will re-release this title. They pretty much started the fad of re-releasing old games with just a graphic update and selling them back to their users, and they found it work.

TLoU will no doubt also work. I hope they at least add extra content or something to make it worth a re-purchase.

I think there are a lot of people who will own a ps4 who didn't own a ps3, I think those folks would appreciate a remake.

I would never by a re-released version of something I already purchased and beat. But if it was my first go at the title , why not?

For example, I plan on getting the next gen tomb raider re-release.

Very true. A lot of my friends who where 360 only gamers missed out kn all of naughty dog games because they hated the ps3. Now they have a ps4 so i think its time for sony to remake last of us and possibly the uncharted games

I'm sick off them and its a lazy way to get more money out off people. Esp if they charge full price for the game. Remember we ain't talking 40 pounds a game anymore.

I own the last gen consoles. I own the retro consoles if i want to play them i will. PS4 deserves new games. I understand he last of us is a stunner and one the best games off the last gen that's no doubt.

But why open the flood gates for remastered titles when we have gakai on the horizon. We have enough to deal with spending are money on the new titles instead off picking up games we already own.

I wouldn't. I already beat it, never even played the multiplayer and stopped playing it on my second playthrough. Good game, deserves all the praise it's received but I want something new.

I want games that are only on PS4 as in made for the PS4 not ports or a game that launches on the PS3/360/X1

This is why I regret buying Ghosts for PS4. That game has ZERO next gen all over it, worst game Ever. KZ/SF crushes that game but people are too blind.
