Just watched it live, looks absolutely amazing.

Remedy never disappoint me. I wish they showed more of QD, those gameplay snippets were so good.

Lalanana3782d ago

I was expecting more but looking good!

P0werVR3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

Looking great indeed.

This is only the beginning...

lets_go_gunners3782d ago

I was also expecting more but Loved what I saw.

Hatsune-Miku3782d ago

Lol. I saw like a fraction of a second of game play. Hopefully it's good. I like the concept

GarrusVakarian3782d ago

Yeah, i thought we might get a gameplay demo but i was still really impressed with the little gameplay clips.

JokesOnYou3782d ago

oooh-la-la, Remedy looks ready to set the bar high for next gen gaming. Awesome stuff.

WrAiTh Sp3cTr33782d ago

Dang, looks like XB1 is the console for now if you want AAA blockbuster gaming--I'm sure it's competitor's will step it up eventually with some games for their new hardware.

badz1493782d ago

looks good but I don't think we'll get to play the game next year. early 2015 release date most probably.

Autodidactdystopia3782d ago

Anybody notice the time glitches happening in the background of the sam lake talking.

nice touch.

:)

NewMonday3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

love how they use art direction to enhance visuals. this is becoming one of my most wanted games, if Remedy fix the pacing problem they had with Alan Wake they could have an all around great game on their hands.

sinjonezp3782d ago

Hate to be the douche, but is this on a high end pc. I question microsoft track record at this point. Just sayin.

tuglu_pati3782d ago

That looks great! Hype for this game: High

EVILDEAD3603782d ago

Thank you Remedy!

Huge fan of these guys. AW was one of last gen's gems. Hope this game delivers on all levels. Curious how the TV show/ Game interaction will translate in real time.

Evil

malol3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

looks good, too bad it'll sell like shit and remedy will most likely make 0 to no money off of it and well be forced to make a PC (like alan wake) maybe even a PS4 version this time around to make some money out of it.

and to add insult to injury those piss poor xboxone sales which we'll make this even WORSE for them.

remedy is a good studio and they make good games but they are stupid when it comes to making money off of that talent they have.

keep this up and they'll close down and that a sad thing to happen but truth be told.

Computersaysno3782d ago

We hardly saw any gameplay, what I saw of it was hardly 'fantastic' because there wasn't remotely enough to judge on! Probably would have learnt more about the gameplay had they just released a couple dozen screenshots.

I'm not getting too hyped because I did for Alan Wake and it turned out really disappointing.

It ended up looking nothing like as good as the first reveal at the Intel developer conference, stuck in development hell for years, and when it released relied on rinse/repeating a single game mechanic the whole game.

Lets hope this one actually comes out in a reasonable time frame instead of the 3 and a half years it took Alan Wake from its first footage

G20WLY3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

It does look good, here's hoping they can make it play right too, we don't need another 'Ryse'.

These guys have a good track record, so keeping the faith that this will be well worth playing. :)

Only thing I didn't like - and I get that she's screaming the first time - we see the woman twice and both times she looks boss-eyed/retarded. Is she scripted as handicapped or is this Remedy tying to be clever with facial tech and getting weird results? :/

DOMination-3782d ago

Absolutely incredible. This demo has been shaking the world to it's foundations - without doubt the best graphics in a game ever seen and it might only be one second of gameplay but it was truly remarkable. Remedy are masters of their trade. ONLY ON XBOX ONE

Reibooi3782d ago

It looks really good but for me it might be something I never play because of the whole TV show thing.

I want to play a game not be forced to watch a TV show to be able to understand what is going on in the story. If the TV show part of it isn't needed to understand the story in the game then I will certainly buy it as the game itself looks great but I don't have time to play a game and watch a show for said game to understand it. My time is better spent just playing it instead of having to watch it.

This is just my personal opinion and I'm sure plenty of people out there love the fact that it's gonna have a TV show to accompany it.

pete0073782d ago

more?? you better wait till true games arrive on your favourite platform that can deliver a true audio-visual revolutionary experience. wich i believe will never come due to hw limitations.
to me is a day one purchase along with other true masterpieces

It looks very nice.

I wish it was multiplat...I can't afford an Xbone :(

KiRBY30003782d ago

if i could pick one exclusive on the xbox 1 and put it on PS4, that would be this game. no brainer.

filipakos3782d ago

it will eventually come on pc :P

UncleGermrod3782d ago

ha, yea that is what sucks, if you can only afford one console, your gonna miss out. i am grateful to be able to own both. quantum looks really promising. glad to see xbox start to push some more big exclusives with new and different concepts. now that we have started to see some big things from ms, im really amped for 2014 and beyond. maybe off topic, but i get a partial everytime i think about a next-gen uncharted, too bad they missed the show, but at least there's always e3.

Just glad to see that some of these much-touted but little shown games are really starting to piece together nicely.

Also, you should sell your body and just get an xbone...

Blaze9293782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

that looked AMAZING! Definitely can't wait for that one. Loved Alan Wake. Xbox One all day baby

Its a pity no one bought alan wake on 360 then eh? Hope it doesnt happen to this game too if its good.

Alan wake came to PC so this game might too and save me 500$.

beerzombie3782d ago

yes this is the one reason I bought x-one and titanfall and halo 5

DOMination-3782d ago

It sold 1.2m on 360 which isn't completely terrible. Obviously the sales and the first class co-operation with Microsoft Game Studios was enough for Remedy to make another NPG (non-playstation game)

OrangePowerz3782d ago

To be fair we didnt really see anything besides a few short seconds of gameplay.

GarrusVakarian3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

Which, if representable of final build gameplay, looks amazing.

OrangePowerz3782d ago

I have trust in Remedy to make a very good game, but the gameplay was so short that I cantw judge it.

Sitdown3782d ago

I missed it, what were you being fair about? Or what were people being unfair about?

imt5583782d ago

Looks great. But i think it will be another 900p game for XO. And graphically can't compete against The Division or The Order : 1886.

GarrusVakarian3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

Cmon dude, lets just praise the game and keep it at that yeah?

Sitdown3782d ago

Okay we get it, now move along. How did we ever enjoy games before 1080p?

Robochobo3782d ago

Because The Order 1886 isn't running at 800p right?...

ambientFLIER3782d ago

So? Ryse looks fantastic in 900P...although I guess I can see how that could be a problem for someone that gets off on pixel counts...

bumnut3782d ago

@imt558

Why even bring that up? If you want to play the resolution game you won't win, I game at 1440p.

Game looks interesting

imt5583782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

@Robochobo :

The Order is game with LETTERBOX, just like movies. And is still a 1080p game.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...

starchild3782d ago

If it's not rendering 1920 x 1080 unique pixels it is simply not rendering those pixels. It's a cop out to make fun of games on the XB1 that don't render at 1080p resolution then turn around and make excuses for games on the PS4 that don't do it.

If you really want high resolutions you shouldn't be gaming on the PS4 either. There are going to be plenty of games that are less than 1080p. The PC is the only platform that will consistently give you 1080p, 2k, or even 4k resolutions. It's all a matter of which hardware you choose.

Anyway, give credit where credit is due. This game looks really good.

BallsEye3782d ago

The Order is old generation technology. All it does is have high res textures and few standard effects. Quantum Break uses DMM. You can't even compare it to quantum break. Same tech used for CGI in blockbuster hollywood productions.

"DMM is a deformation-based fracture system that simulates the physical properties of any material using finite element analysis. If a structure exists - big or small, dense or thin, floppy or rigid - DMM causes it to react in the same way as dictated by reality. For example, wood doesn't simply break along a predetermined seam every time - rather, it bends and splinters into pieces from the point of impact. The same rules apply to any substance imaginable: rubber bends and snaps back into place. Glass shatters. Steel dents and bends. Plastic deforms. DMM can even simulate plants and organic objects through the adjustment of 14 different material physics settings ranging from toughness to volume preservation."

http://www.pixelux.com/Reme...

imt5583782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

@starchild

Yes, it is inactive pixels, but is still 1080p because those inactive pixels are part of the 1080p image.

@Ballseye

Yes, sure you know which technology is used in The Order. The infos about The Order are scarce.

beerzombie3782d ago

you clearly don't know shit about Remedy they are bad ass and set the bar high. just like your so called best developer I will not name.

mkis0073782d ago

@BallsEye

DMM is technically old tech as well. so that point kinda fizzles out. The force unleashed 1 and 2 both use DMM...hopefully this game uses it better.

Also, where does it say what tech The Order is using? MY GI says they are using their own proprietary engine to produce the same effect as DMM.

BallsEye3782d ago

@imt558

Sure I don't know tech behind The Order but it's enough it just look like a HD quality game, not anything new. YOu can see how QB even renders in a different way than most games today.

jakehammer3782d ago

Lol when did The Division become a PS4 exclusive and Sony fanboys become douches?

andibandit3782d ago

Yeah, too bad games can still suck in 1080p, like kzsf

Gamer6663782d ago

Glad you mentioned The Order...

Where was it last night?

Right. No where to be found... Just like Killzone 2 was for the first few years of the PS3. Lot's of trailers, no ship date... And then by the time Killzone 2 shipped CoD, Halo, Gears, and most other AAA shooters had caught up graphically.

Sony is notorious at this... I file The Order with Last Guardian right now... When they have a specific ship date narrowed down to a two month period I will get excited for it.

towelie12883782d ago

get off your high chair you tool.....

hankmoody3782d ago

You sound pretty miserable.

spicelicka3782d ago

Oh isn't forza 5 1080p 60fps? So that means it already beat The Order and Division by your dumb standards.

JokesOnYou3781d ago (Edited 3781d ago )

The epitome of fanboyism, brought to you by imt558:

"But i think it will be another 900p game for XO."

starchild: "It's a cop out to make fun of games on the XB1 that don't render at 1080p resolution then turn around and make excuses for games on the PS4 that don't do it."

imt558: "because those inactive pixels are part of the 1080p image."

-wow so he's aware that the game is actually rendering less pixels as they are "inactive"= blacked out but now only rendering what translates to 800p doesn't matter because it's like "movies". lmfao, what a f-ing hypocrite.

trancefreak3782d ago

I like the video edit @1:49 where he says; "There are a number time powers at the players finger tips"

At this point; The audio makes a beep. The people in the background look or appear like time has been forwarded; all while he remains still and static while conversing. That was cool.

UnholyLight3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

Side note, Really liked how when they jumped back to Sam Lake between gameplay that in the background it was randomly skipping as well.

Neat little way to present the product at hand!

QuickdrawMcgraw3782d ago

Game looks very interesting, but I thought Xbox owners did not like interactive games. At least that what it seemed like here on N4Xbox when interactive games were show for the PS3.

memots3782d ago

beyond two soul got bashed by critic, hopefully this game has more action or more control over your character.

3782d ago
starchild3782d ago

If you've played Alan Wake or Remedy's other games you would know that they are action games. Very different than something like Beyond Two Souls.

beerzombie3782d ago

a lot of Xbox gamers just love Remedy and play allot of indie games and arcade games. We are a diverse of gamers.

Gamer6663782d ago

I agree the Xbox demographic is more action oriented, but, they have stressed this is action game first integrated with interactive.

Heavy Rain and Beyond are fully interactive games, but they are more "interactive" then "action"...

Yes, I have played both Heavy Rain and Beyond...

3782d ago
Christopher3782d ago

I must be the only one who thinks it doesn't live up to this gen.

What gameplay they showed has annoying lighting, muddy textures, and didn't really show any gameplay. The rest was cinematic moments we've seen before.

Conclusion: Game is still on a "wait until I see something noteworthy"

Dewitt3782d ago

Well it is a good thing you don't reviews games then because the textures were in no way muddled and they already said they are using dynamic lighting which looked perfect in the short snippets they showed.

Christopher3781d ago

I didn't say muddled, I said muddied. As in not sharp and precise.

And, yes, must be great for someone else with a different opinion than others to review games. Wonder Twin Powers Combine! Form of: Hive Mind!

hulk_bash19873782d ago

Agreed will definitely pick this up along with an Xbox One sometime next year. Loved Alan Wake and Max Payne 1 and 2.

trancefreak3782d ago

Ya it looks super good. I like the the warping distortion effects when time is changing to name one.
The game really has a SCIFI thriller written all over it.

A little Fringe-ish with the time displacement and a lot of action. Looks like we'll get a great story out of this with "Monarch" being the company's name which was also in Fringe's Ghost Network and the pattern. Hopefully these are Fringe shout outs.

The Company "Monarch" in this story arch which has some resemblance much like great games in with different genre. Resident evil Umbrella corp and half life black mesa. This game has my attention and it appears it could be expansive in the future.

I am really excited for this game and it looks to have perhaps some good mythology to why this all occurs.

I_am_Batman3782d ago

This definately looks great. Time manipulation sounds awesome.

ltachiUchiha3782d ago

Yeah that looked tight. Looks to be another great game from Remedy. Alan Wake was a great game but these stopping time powers look sick. Definitely the best exclusive on the xbox one so far. Titanfalls looks good too but i think this game looks even better.

M-M3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

This is looking like Microsoft's The Last Of Us(no I don't mean it in a negative way).

Enemy3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

Huh? This is a cinematic episodic game, and gameplay wise, it's closer to Beyond: Two Souls than the survival action in The Last of Us.

OverPaperSkies3782d ago

No. It's not a quick time event fest either. He stated that live.....

NoLongerHereCBA3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

Did you even listen to the show Enemy and the people disagreeing with OverPaperSkies? Or just being ignorant on purpose? It's in no way similar to Beyond: Two Souls.

Convas3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

It's plays like closer to Max Payne.

Do you even watch this stuff?

You're just looking stupid right now.

lastofgen3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

this isn't an episodic game.
there's a tv show that goes along with it, but the rest of the experience is a max payne-esque game. That really doesn't compare to two souls, where it's mainly a movie rather than a game.

Did you even watch the reveal or watch the interview? They even acknowledged that it's not even remotely close to what two souls is when they got tweeted a question.

christocolus3782d ago

@enemy

Shut up man..you need to stop allowing your biae cloud your judgements.what you even doing here again?

JackISbacK3782d ago

wow therre was nevver the combat gameplay in beyond wherre charecter whole body in 3rd person view was nevver controled, but this is game like a mix of stealth and action like last of but more intence and distructable and may be more violent and can reach to the level of naughty dogs work ,therre are also many talented people.

beerzombie3782d ago

Last of us is not a survival game its a game in a survival environment. When you cant pick up enemies weapons or bullets and your tag along speaks loudly in certain sections with out being notice its just a game. Its more like Gears of war play style. once you enter area you cant go back this all from reviews. I still thinks its game of the year and probably best game of this generation.

We dont know how good it will be until we.play it
Sony fanboys can't even give a compliment correctly

CGI-Quality3782d ago (Edited 3782d ago )

@ Joe: I said nothing of whether it will be as good or not (in fact, I never gave a direct opinion of Quantum Break). I'm saying, based on the mentioned statement, the two have little to nothing in common.

It also gets to be a little ironic that you selectively read my post, completely missing my obvious interest in the game, and instead, choosing to make of the post what you wanted.

Sharky2313782d ago

VforVideogames3782d ago

The last of us was an ok game and far from game of the year.

M-M3782d ago

What I mean, is that it's looking to be like Xbox One's great title. Like, people will always recommend for PS3 users to get TLOU, while people will always suggest Quantum Break if you have an Xbox One. I know the game is completely different than TLOU, I didn't mean it in the way you guys think...

dcj05243782d ago

JackISbacK3782d ago

remedy is one of the greatest competition for naughty dogs and i realy get your point ,you were trieng to say this game can at be level of perfection of waht naughty dogs use to give ,they both are great ,but i will say remedy is kind of slow ,but with quantum break it can reach to its potential, thanks god m$ have owned the ip and quantum break will nevver go multiplat.

Remedy does it again! Looks so awesome. I really want to see more.

Redempteur3782d ago

i fail to see what you saw that was so awesome.

we had barely any gameplay.
What we had was :
-devellopper talking
-cutscenes bit we already saw at E3
-3 second of gameplay ???

and out of those 3 sec of gameplay we barely have any information on how it plays except that it's YET AGAIN a TPS.

What was really awesome in that reaveal is how people eat anything without checking what's in front of them.

Outside_ofthe_Box3782d ago

The whole concept is intriguing to me. You kinda have to use your imagination with the little bits of gameplay we saw and the info Remedy explained to see the potential this game has. Also, Remedy's track record plays a role in it as well.

There is nothing wrong with being excited. Just as you can be cautious of the game based off 3 seconds of gameplay, I can be excited based off the same 3 seconds of gameplay as well.

15 Xbox Games That Should Make the Multiplatform Jump

Single A games and live service games. Those make sense

S2Killinit31d ago

None of it makes sense. But its happening.

Ps5conehead30d ago

That’s up to Microsoft they want return on there investment. From buying up those publishers. That’s what there in business for. And they made a mistake putting day one exclusive on game pass. So now Microsoft wants to profit any way they can.its called buisness . Just like Sony putting games on pc a year are two after ps5 launch.
So if they can make money off PlayStation and Nintendo. They will do that. And I bet soon real soon they will release some aaa exclusives .and I bet one day it will be same day release

Some of these seem to be exclusive for lack of enthusiasm of the publisher rather than because of deals. A lot of cool indies skip ps for some reason like katana zero, el paso, elsewhere and gunbrela

S2Killinit31d ago

Even more indies skip xbox. We know that right?

Friendlygamer31d ago

Quality over quantity, Microsoft got some really interesting and curated niche games on their machines, maybe in part because of gamepass

S2Killinit30d ago

Quality and MS are not things you bring up in same sentence.

shinoff218330d ago (Edited 30d ago )

Alot of indies skip xbox to. It goes round and round. Personally I think your off base on that but no need to have the argument.

Friendlygamer30d ago

Between katana zero, valheim, Battletech, el passo... I don't feel off base. maybe ps got a million of light novel games that will never release on Xbox but like I've said, I'm talking about niche games highlights, the 10%.

Heck, it's probably thanks to Microsoft that the s.t.a.l.k.e.r games came to console ps included, meanwhile Sony backwards compatibility continues to be extremely anemic.

And I'm sure most ps5 users are happy to ignore these games and just play wathever new 3rd person action game is trending but it's cool that Microsoft gives some love to smaller audiences and software preservation

shinoff218330d ago

Again your off base just to be snide. All it's showing though is your ignorance.

One light novels wtf is that even. Ps has plenty of pretty damn good indies.

Speaking of indies and ms being responsible. You know F.I.S.T. of course you do alot of you guys just support gamepass. Well here's a history of Sony being responsible for helping indies. Look up the China project from Sony.

Lastly lol your ignorance showing again. Sony has plenty of games. Personally third person is better then first anyway but that's besides the point. Sony gets so many games that xbox doesn't get because yall don't support the games. Jrpgs being a great example. I personally am not into every Sony first party game. Alot of us aren't. On the other side you don't get to eat often so you gobble up everything. Me personally God of War not my cup, etc. For me I'm into jrpgs and ms just can't touch Sony on those. Again because the Xbox base doesn't support it. Devs dont wanna waste their time or money. Hit me up when falcom develops a game over there.

Speaking of third person narrative games. Aren't yall drooling over hellblade 2. The first one was Sony exclusive at one point. Another not my cup game. Showing we don't have to fall in line and agree we love everything Sony puts out. The facts are they sell though unlike elsewhere(not nintendo)

StormSnooper30d ago

You are same person as GamerRN, yes?

Abnor_Mal31d ago

They really think PlayStation fans would want to play Redfall? Pfft.

Personally nothing on that list would be any game I’d want to play.

TwoPicklesGood31d ago

I’d absolutely love Hellblade 2, Palworld, and Quantum Break on ps5 as I’m sure tons of others would too. There’s nothing wrong with wanting games from another console and its sad that people try to act like they aren’t interested in them.

shinoff218330d ago

While indont agree with the games. I agree with the point. Your not wrong.

DarXyde30d ago

Sunset Overdrive makes very good sense. Palworld might.

Don't know about the others. Hellblade II does make sense given the original launched on PS4 first. Quantum Break was a massive letdown for me. I absolutely hated the whole TV show thing and I don't think anyone should have to relive that on modern hardware.

Alan Wake 2 studio Remedy Entertainment has reclaimed the rights to Control, and now sci-fi hit Quantum Break deserves the same treatment.

Totally agree with that especially when Quantum Break has several references to Alan Wake and Alan Wake make allusions to QB.
I do believe that MS and Remedy can work things out and MS has usually been nice to devs and publishers regarding IP.

Obscure_Observer46d ago

They can't "reclaim" what was never theirs.

Petebloodyonion46d ago

I’m sure we can settle for purchase from MS the IP.

Lightning7746d ago

MS is not doin anything with it. Plus they're doing a multiverse of their own so Remedy needs the IP.

If MS wants to have exclusive let it be timed for 6 months then go to other platforms. MS seems to be, let's say, generous with some if their games as of late.

Or have QB2 be multiplat from the jump, put it on GP. Keeping QB2 as an exclusive is kinda weird these days.

@Petebloodyonion

"I’m sure we can settle for purchase from MS the IP."

Good luck

@Lightning77

"MS is not doin anything with it."

Japan Studio is dead nd Sony isn´t doing anything with Bloodborne either! Yet I can 100% guarantee that there´s a far bigger demand for a sequel, remake or even a remaster for that game from both PS5 and PC gamers.

That been said, why don´t you ask Sony tol sell the IP to Fromsoftware now that according to rumors, they bought Elden Ring from Bandai?

Reclaim? That would mean that they actually owned the ip at one point, which they never did (MS always has). Apples & oranges. Remedy always owned the Control ip (just not the publishing), as they have with Alan Wake.

About as likely as them getting the Max Payne rights from Rockstar.

mastershredder46d ago (Edited 46d ago )

Sending you game to a publisher does not mean they get "rights to own it " unless that was part of the contract (monetary/ strategic reasons). 505 was the publisher they worked with to publish and distribute it, it dos not mean that 505 flat out "owned" anything, clearly they did have a special arrangement that made them open to limit their publishing rights. and so here we are and big whoop

Yeah get Quantum Break PS5, only if you put it on disc with all the associated movie material.

I mean they got the Alan Wake IP back from MS, so I feel like they could get QB back as well

15 games on FIFTEEN pages? That's a NO from me.

Superliminal
Antichamber
Manifold Garden
Portal & Portal 2
The Stanley Parable
Monument Valley
Gorogoa
Thumper
Inscryption
Q.U.B.E. 2
Darq
Quantum Break
Perspective
Inside
The Swapper

IamTylerDurden1343d ago (Edited 343d ago )

I think Inscryption is the best game on that list. PT and Returnal i would offer. Returnal deserves a spot over some of the listed games. Especially after chapter 3. Maybe even Alice MR? Death Stranding? Kojima all together. To much smaller degree Dead Space. I'm spitballing.

I didn't play Thumper enough to see beyond the visual spectacle. Curious choice.

I'd add FEAR and RE7 (when Ethan starts getting visions, especially in the boat) to that list.

Edit: and Here They Lie

What no Eternal Darkness on the list?
