Gotta frys right up the road from me. Usually buy all my new releases from them, as they can be $10 cheaper than everyone else! They have a good price match policy too.

Yeah Fry's Electronics is pretty awesome. I ordered the 3DS XL Mario Bundle for my son this Christmas and hope he will like it.

I was not able to order it online last night, as it said it was unavailable online, but I was able to take advantage of the $180 deal by opting for an in-store pickup (Fry's on Brokaw in San Jose, CA). Hope that helps someone.

Nice, have done the in store pick up quite a few times. Keep an eye out on games this month over there. I remember nabbing mass effect 3 for ps3 last year over there for $7. Alot of games for $10. Hopefully they do the crazy deals again.

Damn that is an some awesome deals at the time and hope they would do the same this year as well. Thanks for the heads up man.

No problem. Never been out to that Frys. Only a few out here in the Orange County area. Nano Assault and Ace Combat are a couple really good games that slipped under the radar on the 3ds. Kid Icarus, Luigis Mansion, Donkey Kong Country etc. Some really good games for the 3ds.

It felt kinda cheap to me… both in terms as a tactic, and game design

There was a small game called Aragami that “borrowed” the blink, that was a good game.

Unfortunately I heard the sequel wasn’t good so I stayed away from trying it out.

The sequel changed some of the mechanics from the first game but it was still a very polished and enjoyable experience. You should definitely give it a shot sometime. The game's currently on sale on Steam

Okay thanks for the heads up, will look out for it being on sale one day.

I really did like the first and played it back to back as soon as I finished the first play through.

Making Pokémon 3D Was A Mistake

Pokémon’s shift to 3D was a big mistake, as the series’ roots in 2D design make it difficult to transfer important game mechanics into a 3D overworld.

why do other games pull off 3D monster collecting JRPG games just fine? Look at Jade Cocoon and Shin Megami Tensei for examples.

Answer should be obvious.

No other videogame franchise is as merchandise driven as Pokémon
