Most interesting is Titanfall.... then Thief, Destiny and Halo (if i had a X1).

Curious about Lichdom.

-Superman-3800d ago

Im suprised that nobody said Dying light.

guitarded773800d ago (Edited 3800d ago )

Is it a core shooter? I thought it was more FP Action like Dead Island (having guns, but not the core of the game). It's on the list though.

Personally, I'm looking forward to stuff other than shooters. I have 4 shooters with my PS4 already, and it's just time for the genre to take a step down... Not go away, but just slow it down.

The only ones that interest me are Destiny and Halo on the list. Not on the list Planetside 2 and Star Wars Battlefront.

telekineticmantis3800d ago

Planetside 2, and Titanfall for me.

ATiElite3800d ago

Lichdom looks great and I want it!

always looking forward to a new Halo

Sega needs to just Give the ALien license to the makers of Natural Selection and let them resurrect the Alien Franchise.

Halo FPS wont be out until 2015. There is no way it will hit 2014 you got that top down Halo in 2014 that's it. Halo games take a good few years to develop and this one will too especially on a new engine and this time it won't be using bungies engine unless upscaled. So its either gonna be a heavy mess (resource wise) or something special from 343. Time will tell.

Gabenbrah3799d ago

They already confirmed a new Halo game is coming in 2014 and considering that 343i are now a 400+ development studio and they planned the new Halo trilogy years ago and have the next 10 years of Halo planned out, I think they'll be fine, especially with the Xbox One considering how much easier it is to develop for than the Xbox 360.

Titanfall, Destiny, and Halo. I need you.

Gabenbrah3800d ago

Titanfall, Destiny and Halo are my most anticipated.

GarrusVakarian3800d ago

Mine too. I can imagine those 3 being many peoples most anticipated too.

christocolus3800d ago (Edited 3800d ago )

Yeah, same here.....but why are you getting so many disagrees? Did you say something wrong?....lmao

DeadManIV3800d ago

People disagree with what he is saying, so they hit disagree. Problem?

omi25p3800d ago

What are they disagreeing with? The Fact that he wants those 3 games?

Its just fanboyism. Dont try and hide it.

christocolus3800d ago

@omn25p

Thanks bro...my point exactly. Some Fbs are just so pathetic.

GW2123800d ago (Edited 3800d ago )

I disagreed because they aren't my most anticipated. Destiny and Halo, yes. Titanfall, no. Hence the disagree.

Thief is not a first person shooter.

123pol3800d ago

you have bow and arrows.. you shoot arrows with the bow.
and the game is in first person...
so therefore its a first person shooter

CrossingEden3800d ago

That's like saying that dishonored is a first person shooter or that MGS3 is a first person shooter, just because they have the mechanic to shoot from first person DOESN'T mean that they are first person shooters. Going by your logic skyrim is a first person shooter, and before you say it is, NO it's not.

fardan853800d ago

I would say Destiny.
It looks really big with lots of contents, crazy weapon upgrades, Impressive graphics for what it tries to do, big worlds to explore.
If it has offline split screen co-op for the campaign then I will probably get it on release.

Hanso3800d ago

sorry destiny is a always online game
we cant play it offline.

fardan853800d ago

First TitanFall, now Destiny.
Crossing it from my anticipated games.

Master Chief Became More Than A Machine In 343's Halo

In Halo 4, 5, and Infinite, Master Chief became a more nuanced, human character.

In spite of the Halo series’ struggles, 343 deserves praise for adding nuance and characterisation to the ever-beating heart of Halo - The Master Chief. Playing through Infinite, it's abundantly clear that the events of the current and previous trilogies have irrevocably changed the iconic hero. He’s no longer the ‘blank slate’ that was previously presented by Bungie. He’s a fatigued, damaged and fallible protagonist, and one who is meandering through currents of grief, while reveling in his newfound agency. Giving the Chief a compelling and meaningful voice was no small feat, and 343 should be proud of that victory.

This article completely misses part of the appeal of the original iteration of character in the original game trilogy. It was the Chief and Cortana vs an entire alien collective. The blank slate Bungie displayed in their games was genius, he was an mysterious hero a wide audience could identify with because he wasn't as clearly defined as most characters.

The books added a lot of lore and backstory but most Halo players just want a fun game with exposition that doesn't get in the way of gameplay, it's why the Cortana level in Halo 3 was derided.

Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty.

BandarHub400d ago

A lot of people give the 343 version of Master Chief a lot of slack.
But Fundamentally he is still the same character, he just has a couple more dialogues. He has not changed in terms of attitude.
"Not every character has to be a damaged soyboy, a soldier has to suck it up and do his duty."
And that's what he has done at the end of the day, he did his duty. Watch his partner die, and was ready to destroy the weapon in Halo infinite....he is still the same soilder that everyone remembers

Halo Infintes one was a nice balance between both.

Chief and the halo franchise became a joke under 343

Sciurus_vulgaris400d ago

The 343i Master Chief has is based on the books. However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion.

Obscure_Observer400d ago

"However, in Halo 4-Infinite, the Master Chief overtime become. gradually becomes more willing to show some emotion."

Which is awesome! I love how Master Chief become more John and less soldier.

Although the late 2000s Turok wasn't my favorite, I would love a new entry. Open world survival with shotguns and dinosaurs. Not sure how we'd get the fusion cannon, but that would be pretty sweet too.

MadLad588d ago

Lol

All of these games are pretty much universally praised. Outside of Timeshift I literally own all of these.

Venoxn4g587d ago (Edited 587d ago )

XIII, The Darkness 2, Far Cry: Blood Dragon, Timesplitters: future perfect, Bulletstorm are awesome games
