During the Xbox One count down launch event Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Hryb announced a partnership with McDonalds for a new contest that will let you win a free Xbox One.

I did! At 14th St Union Square in NYC. They had people from Gamestop at 42st Times Square giving out some papers for a chance to win an Xbox One at the 14th St store. They even had a shuttle bus to bring people here. They gave away 20 units. There was more people waiting for a free system than those waiting to buy and with pre-orders. Hiphopgamer was there, one of his friends was a winner.

I think they are giving away more systems than what they are actually selling. Gotta show some big "sells numbers" to thise shareholders one way or another lol

I really wish game companies would stop partnerships and cross promotions with junk/fast food distributors. The United States, UK, Australia, Canada, and Mexico all lead the world in obesity rates. Why does the video game industry insist upon crawling into bed with companies like Doritos, Coke, Pepsi, Taco Bell, and McDonalds which do nothing but add to the overall problem? It's bordering on unethical and immoral.

Yes, you can argue these companies don't force you to eat their foods, but as of right now populations are uneducated to alternatives, lead inactive lifestyles, and don't know any better. Combine this with the near criminal level the fast food companies can misrepresent their products, and we have issues.

Just disappoints me all around.

I dont eat fast food anymore mostly because greasey foods taste dont taste good to me anymore but also because I am on a school campus and it is not worth a walk/bus ride to the fast food places I dont mind having Taco Bell and Arbys.

Also MS is not promoting bad health just their product at the most popular fast food restaurant. They are not telling you to get McDonalds but instead telling people that eat McDonalds that a new big console is out. I highly doubt MCdonalds payed them to advertise Xbone.
