I don't understand how anyone can overlook the fact that the Xbox One runs multiplatform games at lower resolution.

That is, compared to PS4 - which most of these things are, such as price.

Similarly I don't see how they overlook higher resolutions as a pro in their PS4's pro&cons, http://www.startribune.com/...

I can overlook it because my tv/monitor is 1368x768.. So 1080p isn't very important to me. Most other people it will though.

I meant how someone *writing a pro & con list for the masses* could overlook such a fact.

1080p TVs are more than common these days.

P.S. I like your avatar, and screenname. (wish I could say the same about your TV as well :P)

"Blinders on!"

I'm more surprised that the media isnt grilling MS for it compared to their *uck up during Xbone reveal or E3.

Nujabes_3802d ago

I'm going to give my honest opinion as to why I'm getting the One over the PS4:

I feel that the Xbox One offers much more in the overall package. The media functions are awesome, the HDMI-in is a great feature and the console can be used as my entertainment center.

The Kinect is a big feature to me too. I like how it makes browsing the UI much easier by voice commands and gestures, and I can't wait to see what the devs will create for it.

The controller is also another big selling point to me. Rumble Triggers felt amazing when I tried back in september, and the controller felt amazing comfortable.

Then there are the other things, like dedicated servers for all games and the snap feature.

BattleTorn3802d ago

All the power to ya. I'm getting an Xbox One too.

I just can't bring myself to buy any multiplats on the X1 anymore, knowing that they all run at higher resolution on another console which I also own.

timlot3802d ago

And when nba2k14, need for speed, fifa 14, etc. all run 1080p on both nobody cares.

Deltaohio3802d ago

Because 720p still looks good. 1080p is def better but at what resolution does a consumer stop caring? I will have zero interest in 4k since 1080p is good enough. And I'm sure for some 720p is good enough as well.
That doesn't man X1 gets a pass for 720p tho. 1080p is just a sign of performance IMO. I really could care less if the PS4 used that power to make a game 1080p to look nice. I'd rather see more things on screen, better AI, better physics etc. that screams more next gen to me then extra pixels.

mitford3802d ago

very true we all like really nice graphics but as you say the AI needs to improve drastically this gen more than anything

Used to love this one, but X-Men Legends 1 and 2 will always be my favorites, especially Rise of Apocalypse. Would pay some good money to play it today with online multiplayer, back then I had no way to get a modem

ZeekQuattro7h ago

I remember buying them dirt cheap on the PS4 and then a few days later I read they were delisted. I was wondering why the bundle was price so low and got my answer when that happened.

Knightofelemia5h ago(Edited 5h ago)

Sad to say this is one game franchise next to the Xmen that needs a sequel. I use to play the hell out of Xmen Legends and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Was great when my cousin had the OG Xbox play with four other people and then playing online. Great games glad to see it reappear even though I own the discs love the mechanics of this game.

Terry_B4h ago

It got a sequel..but for dumbass #reasons as a switch exclusive.

shinoff21834h ago

It looked so horrible to. They should've kept it similar to the first two.

Asplundh4h ago

Because Nintendo funded it, they did the same for Bayonetta.

Knightofelemia4h ago

I totally forgot about the Switch sequel.

jukins4h ago

Misleading. This page is whats available for people who owned the game prior to delisting.

Abnor_Mal4h ago

The first game was the best imo.

There's a reason they're called 'gods' and not 'regular people'. It's nice they've diversified even more but gods looking godly wasn't exactly a glaring issue with the first game.

Juancho518h ago

Hey! Gods suffer from obesity and diabetes too!

Blastoise8h ago

This is the dumbest article I've read in a long time.

Michiel19897h ago

No one had an issue with that besides a very select group of people that try to push their own agenda.

Crows906h ago

Exactly. Not even sure they're necessarily committing to body diversity either.

The designs look fine not stupid.

Inverno6h ago

The writer of the this article clearly doesn't know what a real god looks like and has never seen them /s

Tody_ZA5h ago

Thanks for bringing up a bunch of garbage thoughts that never crossed my mind when playing the first game because I was too busy playing the game to worry about the portrayal of the physical bodies of gods.

Foolish me, when I read the title I thought we were talking about game mechanics.

Piss off, honestly, with this asinine bottom of the barrel try-hard-to-be-relevant trash.
