Nice list.

What a down to earth, likeable man. Listening to him talk about Journey is quite moving. I have yet to play Journey but i will definitely get it for the PS4.

@below

Oh well, i still have my PS3, it's not going anywhere. Ill buy it on PS3. Ive heard such good things about it.

Conzul3800d ago

Maybe if we clamour for it enough...
The New Sony might do something about it.

Persistantthug3800d ago

Maybe through GAIKAI.
That's certainly possible.

Pogmathoin3799d ago

GTA V made me cry.... With laughter, every time I switched to Trevor.... Best one when he was on a scooter, chasing someone, 'i didn't mean to kill your friends, your being rude'!! Classic!

irepbtown3799d ago

Journey... it is up there with the greatest games I've ever played. It was refreshing and I just cannot fault it.

PS3 had a good life, now I'm waiting for November 29th (unfortunately I live in England).

That's something I like about the Sony crew. They at least try to appear honest and act like real gamers.

black0o3800d ago

u mean the new SONY ;)

*caugh* 2006-2007 *caugh*

Kryptix3800d ago

There's a new Sony now?

Well, I gotta thank the old Sony cause the PS3 was incredible, I'm gonna miss them. They're the reason why Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, and many other good studios got to where they are right now.

Gridloc3800d ago

@blackoo
I see those Ebonics classes are paying off... Cough -cough

HonestDragon3800d ago

Agreed. They are all very likable. Also, I find Yoshida's picks interesting. It would be a task for myself to only pick 10, but I would really have to buckle down and think about it.

Journey was an amazing gaming experience. I'm grateful that I had a chance to experience it. The meaning behind it is so deep and it's good that it got good recognition for it. Have no doubt we'll see similar experiences in the ps4 and I truly can't wait. That and The Last of Us were master pieces of this generation.

Back-to-Back3800d ago

I don't understand how he can say their is a tie between Demons Souls and Dark Souls. In my opinion Demons Souls is the far superior game with much better bosses and environments. Dark Souls did have a much better final boss. I kinda like the idea of Dark Souls doing the connect worlds but there was something special about the nexus. It made you feel like you were trapped in heaven or hell(based off rage lol).

Azzanation3800d ago

Why wouldn't he like The Last Of Us. Its his company's game. Be weird if he said he didn't like it.

Nice list
It's hard for me to make a top 10,so many great games this generation

Conzul3800d ago (Edited 3800d ago )

1. The Last of Us
2. inFamous (all of them, really)
3. Journey
4. Uncharted 2
5. Dead Space 2 (odd I know :P)
6. Sins of a Solar Empire
7. Supreme Commander FA
8. Resistance 3
9. Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
10. Bioshock

Yeah I hear you. When you love so many games, populating a top-ten list feels almost sinful.

Edit: It's a shame that I have to always go to PC for my RTS fix.
This new gen better rectify

Ezz20133800d ago (Edited 3800d ago )

11.Assassin's Creed: black flag IV (the best AC by far)
12.Batman Arkham Origins (best batman game for me by far)
13.Red Dead Redemption
14.Demon Souls/Dark Souls
15.Beyond Two Souls (yes i loved it very much)
16.God Of War 3 (The definition of Epic)
17.Lord Of Shadows 1 and soon 2
18.Heavy Rain
19.GTA V
20.Vanquish

i could list alot more
man, this gen was awesome
can't wait to see what ps4 will do

Conzul3799d ago

I have never played any of the Mass Effect games. Idk.

irepbtown3799d ago

Interesting list,

My top 10 in NO particular order; Journey, The Last of Us, Metal Gear Solid 4, GTA V, Infamous (only the first), Uncharted 2, Call of Duty 4 (revolutionary, my favourite FPS), God of War 3, Killzone 2, Bad Company (first).

I missed out LBP, Mass Effect, Gran Turismo 5, Batman Origins (which I loved) and more. But on another day they'd probably be in the top 10. There's too many to choose from. This (last?) gen was truly amazing.

Leaving off Fallout 3 is almost criminal.

The one franchise I always have difficulty saying which game is the best is the Ass Creed series. Not sure whether 2 or brotherhood is my favorite.

adventureghost1243800d ago (Edited 3800d ago )

Shu is just so awesome in so many ways. He really understands the emotion and art that is put into a game.

cell9893800d ago

I totally relate to that bro, not everyone can see it like that, but Journey is a very emotional game from the moment you start all the way to your last climb, one of a kind

ShowGun9013800d ago

demon souls Shu? 0.o

+1 respect lol

NarooN3800d ago

I remember when Shu said he almost threw his controller into the TV when he was playing a prototype/beta version of the game, haha.

Rockstar need to learn that 12 years of work and 5000 employees doesn’t account for one persons opinion on the internet…

Profchaos34d ago (Edited 34d ago )

Oh and hundreds of millions of dollars in revanue to boot.

Lots of complaints about gta ever since the hd era started and yet it's bugger than its ever been with gta vi up to 180 million trailer views alone. The next game is shaping it be be another genre defining game

MetalGearsofWar34d ago

They already learned they dont have to actually make a great game

sagapo34d ago

The controls of RDR2 felt a but cluncky indeed, but it’s not as bad as some make it out to be. At no point did I get the feeling my experience with the game was held back or ruined by the controls.
But it can never hurt to optimize them a bit, sure.

Zhipp34d ago (Edited 34d ago )

I did accidentally beat someone to death a couple times. An unfortunate mistake but besides that I didn't have any problems with the controlls

jznrpg34d ago

Red Dead Redemption felt clunky at first but I got used to it fairly quick. I thought 2 was easier to control but it could be my experience with the first game helped me out. Great games

Profchaos34d ago

I wouldn't call Rockstar games characters clunky instead they feel like they move with Weight they are not twitch controls press x to instantly snap onto cover the characters instead move like a actor would ducking behind cover they are exposed while they get there.
