Microsoft has always had really good packaging for their consoles.. I loved how snuggly packaged the 360's were and even the box designs themselves are great.. Kinda digging the day one black packaging.

Unfortunately I could only afford one console at launch and decided on the PS4.. May get an X1 when Titanfall comes out though.. Maybe I can find a Day 1 edition online somewhere..

I got the PS4 as well with Need for Speed and Madden 25. Only one of friends who got the PS4, Sony got me with the E3 hype, MS didn't help with their disastrous E3. XB1 is back on my radar after deciding to cancel what would have been my new Radeon 290 video card. I might have to stand outside for this come Thursday night. My local Best Buy informed they should have 20-30 in stock not meant for pre-orders.

they are huge but it only seems that way because the ps4 one is so thin, in reality the XBone box is comparable to the launch ps3 one. the black box looks more classy the xbox brand should change its colours to black and green instead of a solid green which is a bit of an eye sore

I'm sorry you have to wait. I'm enjoying my PS+ free games as well as the F2P games.
The PS4 is even better than the hype. I was a little bummed that ere are no demos to download but the streaming feature is sick. It's very helpful in deciding what game to pick up next.
There is a suspend resume feature, not as good as XB1 (5 apps open at once), but it's cool to play some Resogun then switch to Netflix when my fiancé wants to watch some Psych. Then when she falls asleep I switch back to Resogun and resume right where I left off.
Thinking about picking up the PS4 camera as well. Although, the voice controls work with a headset. Also, my Astro A50s work perfectly without having to plug anything into the controller.
Sorry to go on about PS4 but it is an amazing console. I am confident that the XB1 will be a perfectly matched opponent to the PS4. Two more days and then I'm parking my butt in a chair in front of GameStop for 14 hours.

Sorry Killuminati, most if not all places closed preorders long ago, but still, there's hope-Go to your Walmart on Thursday morning and ask if they have any for purchase (non preorder) my Walmart had a few extra PS4s and gave those customers tickets and took their names. That night, those guys were also fortunate enough to score a system.
Another option would be to check the lesser known retailers-Sears, Kmart etc. other than that and after launch, you're looking at mark ups from the eBay crowd as your only option. Good luck

There are plenty of places to check if they are selling non preordered consoles. GameStop probably will have ten or under so get there at about 9 or ten Thursday morning. They'll sell it to you at 6 and then you pick it up at 12. Bestbuy gets more usually. You could probably start waiting at 4 and still get one. Target is good too. Get there early friday morning and you should be golden. Kmart, same thing. Don't forget about Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco either. Toys r us, Sears, Walmart. Don't worry, you'll get one.

I was like dang...I had $800 set aside for next gen. And may miss out on buying my first ever launch system.

This is where MS is launching XBone in 13 countries on the same day Nov. 22. If all the countries launch numbers are added up, then it only needs to pass 1 million in 1 day to claim the global launch number record. The launch record thing is kind of skewed since both Sony and MS have staggered launches. The PS4 launch for Europe and the second level countries might make that record a fleeting one, then there is the Japan/Asia launch for the PS4 after that, with nothing to compare to.

Considering the XBone is about 3 times the volume of the PS4, that equivalent warehouse space filled by huge XBone boxes holds about 1/3 the number of PS4's that were there. It means much higher shipping and transportation costs for MS for a smaller number of units.
