Gamerdeals:
"Today, Walmart started taking pre-orders on the upcoming $99 Wii Mini with Mario Kart!"
Sometimes newer isn't better when it comes to hardware. Here are five subpar console redesigns that chopped a feature too many.
I would also add the Gameboy Micro. The Gameboy Advance SP was already a little bit too small, and the Micro which was made even smaller, was impossible to play for more than 5 minutes without destroying your hands.
Note to author. Make the section titles BIGGER than the text for the body of each section. It reads better.
In case you missed it, the new look Wii mini launched across the UK last year at a RRP of £79 but it can be bought now for as little as £31.97 complete with a copy of Super Paper Mario. Head over to Brash Games to get the scoop....
Hm. All it took was a price drop to get me to change my opinion on this thing. This could be an excellent choice for kids just getting into gaming. It's a waste of money, though, for anyone else.
With the upcoming release of Wii-Mini, is it time to say goodbye to the Wii or move on to the Wii-U?
The way I see it, they shouldn't be releasing the Wii-Mini in the US at all.
It was a failure over here in the UK, since a second hand Wii Console is about £20-30 these days, so forking out more money for a version that can't play gamecube games and is only slightly 'mini' compared to the Wii is pointless.
Nintendo should've took the money they are using to distribute the Wii-Mini and use it to further advertise the Wii-U and the fact it can play Wii games too and in HD.
Yes, close the door to the wii ane concentrate on the Wii U. The wii u can play wii games so shut the wii down. No point in making games for that system any longer.
I said goodbye to the Wii within one month of the purchase. It collected a lot of dust.
It basically cant do sh*t.
I get Nintendo's strategy here - this is similar to the 2DS - an entry-level console, for younger players.
This is a cheap way to get into gaming. Makes sense.
But I REALLY hope consumers will be able to realize that this IS a revision of the original Wii, and not the "new Wii". Hopefully this won't cause too much confusion for Wii U.
Not necessarily a wise thing for Nintendo to be doing. This holiday should be all about the Wii U. They can't afford to confuse consumers even more by having another Wii option out for them.
I really hope the sales staff are more educated this time around...
And here's to me walking into the Walmart this holiday only to leave wanting to ram my face into a wall after visiting the gaming section. For my area, this move was stupid on Nintendo. bad enough the game section staff don't seem to know shit about what they're working with.. but these people don't even organize. They just.. throw shit in. Last time I went they had 3DS XL's underneath the 360 section instead of the 3DS', they literally merged the Wii and Wii U section so it's a clusterfuck mess that'll be sure to confuse the shit out of un-informed parents..
Oh, but don't worry. The Ps3 and 360 sections are perfectly organized alongside the Ps4 and One sections.
Gamestop isn't any better.
I hope the consumers are smarter than the staff.
Ugh, common. You can pick a used Wii up for less than that, and it will be backwards compatible with GC and have online. Granted I still have not seen Mario Kart too cheap anywhere.
