Who WOULDN'T want to buy the next-gen console first day? Maybe some CAN'T but I have still yet to hear of someone who doesn't want to.

You can count me as one that doesn't want to. That's not to say I'm not looking forward to it, I've just never been one to buy things until I have a logical reason to do so. So for me it's not that I don't want one, it's just not logically reasonable yet. When mirrors edge that'll change though, it's my jumping off point. Can't wait for that game!

I DON'T WANT A NEXT GEN CONSOLE YET.

With all of the games I have on 360 and PS3 I have no need for a next gen console yet. As a matter of fact, no one really does.

Until there are titles I want to play I'm not buying a new system "Just because". Piss your money away but I'm not.

Don't need another Assassin's Creed, or another Killzone, or another COD/Battlefield release.

I actually agree with you. I'm very excited about next-gen, but the LAUNCH of next-gen is not all that exciting to me.

I'll get them in the coming months sometime.

4. doesn't matter what you try and say 400$ is an amazing deal for a new console.

Wasted time reading article. Not all fence sitting pays off. Example: launch PS3 has backward compatibility. I never really used it but, it was there if I wanted to use it. I'm not waiting cause I don't have to wait.

I just cancelled both of my pre-orders yesterday. (Pre-buyers remorse) I wanted them so bad but after the initial excitement wore off, I am left indifferent. I am not really excited by any of the launch games. The only games that I am really excited about won't come out until next year... Infamous & Titanfall. Not to mention my backlog of PS3 & 360 games is HUGE.

These articles need to go away. People NOT adopting consoles early on lead to situations like the Wii-U where people don't buy and then publishers claim they shouldn't make games for the system because no one is buying it. Then gamers come back with "ill buy one when publishers make games."

It has to start somewhere and it starts with US buying new consoles so publishers will see them as a viable option.

Stop suggesting we all hold off. That's bad for the gaming industry.

I'm waiting for the games to come out, until then, I'm holding out. AC4, CoD:Ghosts, BF4, Watch Dogs, Titanfall and Thief are all coming out on PC. As for console exclusives, Ryse seems good, but not 500$ good, neither does Crimson Dragon, despite being the spiritual successor to one of my favorite game of all time, Panzer Dragoon Orta. As for the PS4, I'll wait for either inFamous Second son or whatever game Naughty Dog is working on to be announced, whichever comes first. Until then, I see no point for me personally to buy a next-gen system.

I would say HDMI 2.0, and bigger hard drives would be the only reasons I would hold off from buying both consoles this month. In 2 years expect both to be included along with a die shrink to lower cost.
