Xbox One demo units hit retailers but don't have any controllers

Some retailers have received their Xbox One demo units but for whatever reason these demo units contain an Xbox One system, Kinect, but no controller to actually test out games.

I saw one last Saturday in Best Buy. I was excited then stunned all in a matter of seconds.

I wrote this on another post but I was in best buy on Monday and both consoles has watch only demo units up so I talked to the manager and he told me ps4 would be playable by Thursday/Friday but they had received a memo that morning saying all Xbox one units will be non playable until January because of last minute hardware changes to the console(?) he did say Microsoft reps would be hitting best buys on weekends through the holidays with live demo units. Not sure if this stands with every store expecting demo units or just best buy

It pertains to Microsoft's continued habit of bad marketing of their new Xbox console despite having been very good at marketing in the past and factors into the "next gen" console wars so yes, I'd say it easily does.

well, with controller-less display units, it practically is an ad for the PS4. what a strange strange phenomenon. have to give MS the benefit of the doubt and assume there is a logistical reason for this, and not a 'trying to hide our flaws' conspiracy...
