i just got Batman Arkham Origins ps3
can't wait to play as batman again

hulk_bash19873832d ago

The game looks awesome, Rocksteady's legacy looks like it's in good hands with WB Montreal Studio. I can't wait for Friday.

Ezz20133832d ago (Edited 3832d ago )

i played about an hour of it
let me tell you this

it better than both Batman Main games
batman is Wayyyyy more badass
it feel like who made this game is a TRUE batman fan
and the combat is the same as Batman games but more improved with new moves and gadgets
i only got to the first boss fight
and it's better than any boss fights in batman games
and the story from the start is awesome
i also love the fact that they think batman is myth and not real ....so they freak the hell out when they see him
and the GFX is also better
the city feel more Dark and the custom is pretty badass
from what i have played so far
and if it keep going like this
this may very well be the best batman game for me this gen and my 2nd best game this year after TLOU

My Amazon pre-order of Lego Marvel super heroes says it's due on the 15th of November and this article says it's October 22nd? Aka today?..Can anyone help me out?

hulk_bash19873832d ago

Unless you pre-ordered the PS4 version, the release date for current-gen consoles, wiiu and handhelds is October 22nd.

Scrivlar3832d ago

I swear I'm looking at the 360 one and it says 15th of November, I'm so confused. Might walk down to the shop and see if it's there.

Planning to finish the fairly decent Sonic Lost World this week and get Batman on Friday.

Assassin's Creed 4.. I'll wait for next-gen..

ShaunCameron3832d ago

SpongeBob Squarepants: Plankton's Robotic Revenge (PS3)
Batman: Arkham Origins (Wii U)

.... are what I'm hoping to get this week.

Sonic Game Writers Had ‘Very Little Say’ On Story Scripts

The writing duo behind Sonic games like Sonic Colors and Sonic Lost World reveal they have little creative control over their game scripts.

-Foxtrot94d ago

They need to start letting people take inspiration from the comics, there's a ton of great stuff to take inspiration from.

phoenixwing92d ago

My beef is why even hire writers if you're just going to control the whole process. I'd be very upset as a writer if someone did that. A job is a job though.

DarXyde92d ago

Performative for optics, I would think.

It's like the US Congress holding a vote to "denounce the evils of socialism." It literally did absolutely nothing about anything and was a complete waste of everyone's time (and tax dollars—which is its own irony, by the way)

Dumbest thing in the world, but if you hire writers, it looks like you made a serious effort to make something great.

Do you remember when the original Suicide Squad movie was coming out? How much did we hear about Killer Croc's actor watching cannibal videos to get into character? Or even the "incredible lengths" Jared Leto went through to personify Joker on and off set?

It looks better when people think you're taking it seriously.

XiNatsuDragnel93d ago

Pretty much confirmed that SEGA controls everything about sonic no derivations fr

Profchaos92d ago

Nothing new sonic forces was meant to be far darker then sega got cold feet and they did the same old power of friendship ending

The best Batman Arkham game still isn’t on PS5, and that’s a problem

Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League is almost here, but I can't revisit the best Arkhamverse game on PS5 without sacrificing quality.

Not a fan of Orgins. Blame it on the absence of Conroy & Hamill. Blame it on the lack of atmosphere compared to Asylm. Hell blame it the devs thst dicked over Wii U owners like me that purchased the game only for support be dropped as a thank you to me. It's better than Knight but that's not saying much. I don't care for that entry either.

Rebel_Scum95d ago

tbh buying a game like that for WiiU should’ve been an obvious non-purchase when it existed on better hardware.

Cacabunga95d ago

Origins is amazing..
my favorite Batman is Batman and Robin on mega drive.. an HD REMASTER of that would still look glorious

ZeekQuattro95d ago

I got it launch. Kinda hard to go back. I'm supposed to know they were going to drop support months after the fact. 🤣

Exvalos95d ago

You sound like a salty fanboy, that it didn't come to your precious plastic of choice. It's not the developers fault Nintendo continues making underpowered hardware. It's our fault because we keep buying it. Yes I say (we) I'm part of the problem as well.

ZeekQuattro95d ago

I have a PS3 and a Wii U. How was I a salty fanboy? I bought the game on the system I wanted it for.

Rebel_Scum95d ago

Nah my comment has nothing to do with whether you’d know or not that they’d drop support.

Buying any AAA game of that era for a WiiU you should’ve known you’d be sacrificing graphics and load times.

LucasRuinedChildhood96d ago

It's solid but Origins is definitely not the best Arkham game.

LoveSpuds95d ago

Smacks of hyperbole to me, talk about clutching at straws to create some drama around PS5!!

generic-user-name95d ago

Titles like these are designed to get you to come in, go to their comment section and tell them how they're so wrong so they can boost their numbers.

Phoenix7695d ago

Even though its not the best arkham game in the series, its still an enjoyable game in its own right. What it do really well at though, was the crime investigations scenes. Which imo, were the best of the franchise.

goldwyncq95d ago

I don’t know about best game but it definitely has the best story and boss fights.

boing195d ago

Never played it and recently I've finally tried it via cloud on psn. It's not the best for sure, but it ain't bad either.

Batman: Arkham Origins - Open World Busy Work that Doesn't Hold Up 10 Years Later

Batman: Arkham Origins launched 10 years ago today, and sadly doesn't stand the test of time as well as its predecessors.

Petebloodyonion176d ago

I fail to grasp why this title is worse compared to Arkham City (according to the article) as the author didn't provide any argument to explain why aside from that it felt the bigger map compared to Arkham Asylum made the experience less tight.
More importantly, the author seems like he never played Arkham City since he described the game as linear (alongside Asylum).
