Personally Id put XIII over XII imo just cause I could not get with XII's combat. I never got the chance to play IX. I do agree with VI on top.

I'd rather put 13-2 to be honest. That game was good. FF 12 was good when it comes to secret dungeons and enemies and stuff like that, but man the battle system was boring as hell...characters with no motivation and not needed in the story at all..ugh so bad.

Vaan killed ff12 for me. He was completely pointless and should not have been in the game.

I agree FFXIII-2 was better but they just had to screw the ending for some reason and as for FFXII, I think if we had Asche as the main character and not Vaan, it would be a different feel story wise.

Yea I'd put XIII-2 over the original XIII.

FF12 combat was perfect. I got used to it very fast and customization options were quite alot. Besides it was only FF where you fight in real time.

Agreed. I enjoyed FFXII very much. Ivalice is the Final Fantasy franchise's most storied and developed universe. They should have really made it the setting for FFXIV online. That would have made too much sense.

Final Fantasy 12 was the best.
Best open world for me, an actual world, not a city. It just felt so large.

Not really. A lifeless world would be an empty one, Skyrkim's; A generic one, AC's; or a nerfed down version with better gfx and less creativity, GTA v's

Unless your favorite ff is the emo fest known as FFX, starring Bieberz and Selena Gomez, then your opinion is inferior by default.

I like Revenant Wings story. It's good and easy to follow than XII-1. The graphic also nice, even though some 2D sprite still rough and need more work. And the gameplay, yup, reminds of me of Tactics. That's why i put it in my personal top ten ^^

Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy IX are tied as my absolute favorites in the series. I just can't pick one over the other but even though both games are highly nostalgic for me I have to give VII a slightly bigger nod since it was my very first FF game that I have played and got me into JRPGS even more than I already was. I was 13 when it came out. Man time flies.

I agree to all the FF XIII criticism but "atrocious voice acting". The voices matched each character personality perfectly. The problem is that the characters personalities were terrible. The voice actress for Vanille, for example, captured her soul perfectly. It's not her fault that Vanille was the worst character in any FF.

that's the first time FF character got VOICE and full 3D environment, give some respect!
