I have no doubt it's a faster, more powerfull machine and that's one of the main reasons why I'll be choosing PS4 over its competitors (along with great exclusives), but I have to be honest here- "lightyears ahead" sounds like an overstatement to me as I fail to see some visual difference of a "lightyear" between next-gen and old-gen games. Sure they look great, but not that great.

It's a good thing devs are praising the hardware, though.

It was the case for the PS2 that was much faster than PCs at the time.

But again, not many PC GPU has 8Gb of GDDR5 built to increase graphics, not for software TV shit like Xbox One.

PS4 will be getting AAA titles as well. It's not as if Sony has reduced the number of AAA titles it will release on the platform. Instead, it has forged strong relationships with small-team, independent devs to ensure a constant flow of new content.

Ryse and Forza are shamed equally by KZSF, Second Son, and The Order.

Just go and watch the trailers and gameplay and make a comment from an informed standpoint.

This isn't something where you can argue an opinion. Those three games are head and shoulders above what Ryse is doing for example in terms of effects, textures, lighting, animation. The misconstrued fact that the character models in Ryse are the most detailed ever. No, one of them is. The one whose back you will be staring at as you play. Honestly, Ryse is nothing special from a visual standpoint, it just looks like a good PC game. The lighting in Ryse doesn't look as good as in Crysis 3 on PC when you crank it).

Unless your eyes are broken all three of those games are far superior to everything on the Xbox One from a visual standpoint.

Make a list of all of those indie devs, investigate all of their previous ties to Sony, and if you come back with a list where the majority of those indie devs have worked with Sony on several projects before, you would actually have a point.

However, I could also probably name you about 10 developers off the bat that have never worked with Sony before and are praising both the hardware and the simple, no-barriers process that it takes to submit your game to a Sony platform for release.

@meaty. I bough a wiiu a couple months ago. Its a great system. Not tons of games but they are coming. The tablet controller is so awesome as is being able to play off screen. Its the perfect 2nd console. I will be getting the ps4 day one and it will reside under my 55" LED Samsung in the living room. After an all day session of hardcore gaming I can now retire to my bedroom and unwind playing Mario kart 8 on my 44" plasma. If the hawks are playing no problem. Just play off screen laying in bed on the gamepad. With the game on TV. This...is awesome. All day gaming on ps4...relax in bedroom with wiiu while watching football and a plate of nachos resting on my stomach.

UMM it's an evolution of the console, but I would not say it is light years ahead.

Till the day we actually go "backwards" where we see freely open uploaded community mods and this crap business models for charging DLC, then I can say we are moving forward.

I still remember when Q3 Team arena was released, there was an uproar from the community that this extra ADDON was not worth the 40 bucks. It was a test in the PC market and to this day DLC is not as welcome in the PC market vs Consoles.

How about you read up on the meaning of first party title. They're exclusive but they're not first party. Ryse is made by CryTec, Dead Rising is made by Capcom and Killer Instict is made by Double Helix. MS own none of these studios. However yes you are correct, Driveclub did unfortunately get pushed, had that not been the case Sony would've delivered three first party games to MSs one. MS can't afford to pay for exclusives for any prolonged period of time!

What is important to notice and accept, is that Killer Instinct may be first-party launch, but it's not a full-game. Not even close.

Look into fighters across the industry. KI has 6 characters. That is about 1/3 of a full fighting game. No wonder Microsoft/Double Helix has that ready for launch.

And we already know for sure that Dead Rising 3 and Ryse, were originally scheduled as 360 games, so compare that to all the games Sony is still pumping out for PS3 (The Last of Us, Puppeteer, GT6, Beyond, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, God of War: Ascension) and you can see the reason for any disparity in first-party exclusives at launch.

Could you imagine if Sony had held up the middle finger to their current install base, and brought the majority of these games to PS4? Wouldn't happen. So the way I see it, Xbox fanboys can gloat about having about 2 more exclusives at launch. I still have more great games to play, on a console I still care about.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would know that launch titles are in no way indicative of what is to come in a generation.

(And on that point, this is one of the best launches for either console ever. I personally don't see any real reason why the Xbox One launch lineup is better, but that all depends on what games you want to play.)

Don't act all high and mighty. The ps3 didn't have the amount of games it had now for like 4-6 years of it's life cycle. Half way through Microsoft and Sony switched places last gen. And for the launch of this gen they have switched places again. And no I'm not counting indie games. I love indie games but for me a console is defined by it's core games and not something I can pick up for 10 bucks.

I will be getting a ps4 next year because I refuse to miss out on any exclusive a system has. I want to play infamous ss and the order because they look good but those aren't launch games so I'm getting the xbone first. And for ME it's because kill zone and knack just don't cut it.

The insider said Microsoft has a lot off work load gfx caculations done off the GPU and CPU. He said some of the off work load include voxel ray tracing! He said lighting and shadowing takes big performance hits from GPU and CPU!So Microsoft took the workload of GPU to special processors,and caculations on CPU. He said the special processors take the place of GFX Cores. Microsoft couldn't use multiple GPUs because of bandwidth restrictions. So the special processors work as GPU cores without being one.
So I ask I that the DDR3 and ESRAM made the bandwidth equal or higher then PS4! HE responded yes,but Microsoft has a bigger vision. He said Microsoft wants prt and mega texture caches. That will use harddrive and ram so it lowers the bandwidth,but when it's all put together a native 900p game upscaled will look better then a native 1080p game. He said that is an example.He would go more in detail with me at a later time. So this brings me to the rumore VI tech in Xbox One!Volcanic Island tech is not in Xbox One,but it kinda of is.....

They help AMD with research money towards it and helped them with audio processing! For that Microsoft received Bonaire GPU,but upgraded CU that are hybrid from VI tech!Amd's VI tech with mantle can run at 9 x's the efficiency per CU. Microsofts CUs can run at perfect efficiency in the perfect optimazition at 4x's the efficiency! There is not a Xbox One game running over 1.5 efficiency per core at the moment!There is a couple pushing things and I know you can figure them out yourself.

Let's talk about MCU,Spp and off GPU workload processors!I have discussed before what my insiders have said about them!The Xbox One GPU is 1.31tf clocked at 853mhz in old world standards!The Xbox One GPU can clock up to 950mhz in Microsofts own testing,and in fact the first upclock to the GPU was going to be 900mhz.Microsoft didn't go higher with clocks because developers and the API wasn't ready!Microsoft was trying to make API easy for developers to use audio,lighting & shadowing engine and the Mono driver for efficeny of CUs,Remeber we just covered them earlier!They was trying to get the band to run together as smooth and as easy as possible for the API and Devs!So let's cover other MCU and SPP!Some of the MCUs and SPP was added for cloud computing!They could retrieve and hold the data from servers till the CPU was ready for them.The other are for Kinnect and to help with multi tasking the User Interaface!
