Eskimo Press: "Rockstar Games is confident that Grand Theft Auto Online is the key to the future of the Grand Theft Auto franchise, so much, in fact, that they've announced that GTA V will not have any episodic DLC, but rather improvements and extensions to the online world. What exactly does this mean? Will we see Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto Online, and will we be able to play together on the next-generation consoles? You can count on it!"
The GTA 5 Agent Trevor DLC episode could have been a real treat for fans on PlayStation and Xbox, before it was scrubbed sometime before 2017.
With the amount of money they generated, I just don’t understand the scrubbing of this. It would’ve been fantastic for fans.
I really want to know who drove the decision to focus on multiplayer was it Rockstar or take two.
Because when online started taking off many of the studio leads began having falling outs and leading including a founder
One of the reason I believe once gta 6 release, most of us thoroughly play it, enjoy the world they crafted then after that no offline support, no dlc at all
Grand Theft Auto V was released on PC on the 14th of April 2015. That means the game will be nine years old in four days, and it’s still among the most-played titles on Steam. With a 24-hour peak of 145K players, it’s as popular as Baldur’s Gate 3, Apex: Legends, and Destiny 2.
The street-level action is heating up, so dive headfirst into the chaos of Freemode Challenges and Events — all of which are paying out Double Rewards.
Absolutely love GTA online
truly a dream come true.
cannot wait for updates and next gen version
R* could consider doing what Ubisoft are doing with The Crew with the map.
Ever-expanding, vast countryside in between capitals, quick-travel options, adding the likes of LC, SF, LV, Carcer City, and all that they please into the GTAO world.
Maybe, and hopefully, by then resources will be available and cheap enough to go way beyond 16 players.
The title is misleading. Most of this article is speculation and rumors. Nothing officially confirmed by Rockstar themselves.
Got my hopes up for nothing.
I want the next-gen GTA set in Vice City.
32 players online would be sweet for next gen!
