At Tokyo Game Show last month, I got an early peek at Elemental Labs' Reborn, an action RPG with a sci-fi twist that they're aiming to put on both PS3 and PS4 next year. New publisher acttil hosted an event where Elemental Labs' Franz Tissera, CEO, showed off his last year of work on Reborn and announced a Kickstarter campaign.
Reborn is an interesting mix of old and new, folklore and sci-fi. It pulls from the history of Japanese swordsman Musahi Miyamoto and works the famed tale into a bit of a futuristic retelling. They've set this story in Neo-Tokyo, a world where huge corporations rule, and body augmentation is a regular thing.
An update from Elemental Labs regarding the scifi ARPG Reborn, scheduled for a full reveal during GDC, with a Kickstarter starting just after.
GDC 2014 here we come. Hopefully the Kickstarter campaign will finally succeed. Pretty amped up about this game.
PlayStation Euphoria: Andrew Flores, Chris Penwell and our newly appointed editor, Leo Vader discuss the upcoming PS4 Launch Line Up as they go through the entire list! Is it good enough to triumph over the competition? Plus, they go through the latest news including Injustice Gods Among Us on PS4 and Drakengard 3!

NOTE: The news of Watch Dogs and Drive Club being delayed came after the recording.
Not at all. Its pretty thin. I think its actually worse than PS3 which everyone said had no games but I was playing Resistance and Motorstorm.
Thank god for Killzone.
Good enough for what? To not make me consider another console? Yes.
Having said that, Sony should have pushed to have more exclusives at launch, especially since PS4 is supposedly so easy to code for.
I think too many people are putting too much emphasis on launch games. I think X1 and Sony's launch lineup looks about the same neither looking super impressive but neither being awful either. Then I started thinking back and I could think of a couple decent launch exclusives but was having a hard time thinking of consoles with gobs of great exclusives at launch. This race is a long one so why does the media keep acting like it's won and lost at launch is beyond me.
For me, no. I cancelled my pre order purely based on this fact. I absolutely will get one but not until next spring or later, once there are a good few more games.
I know there is plenty of games at launch but the only one I'm interested in is Killzone, and as much as I love KZ it ain't a system seller.
Travis Bruno of Capsule Computers writes:
"Elemental Labs is a fresh developer that is looking to bring their first game to the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in the form of REBORN. They have teamed up with acttil to help make this happen and have even launched a Kickstarter to help give themselves a push. We had a chance to speak with both the developer and acttil on a number of topics. Read below and see as they introduce their team and explain a few of their design decisions."
The concept art for this game is absolutely gorgeous. Definitely impressed by what I've seen so far
game after game after game
Impressive, most impressive.
Looks interesting
Ill wait for gameplay rather than be impressed and hyped for concept art.
